I think we’ve struck “chicken or egg” here. Is my weight under control because I’m happier, or am I happier because my weight is under control? I guess I’d say that my weight being under control - being at what I call a “socially acceptable weight” - does make me happier. I prefer being seen in a 34” waist compared to a 50” waist pair of pants.

So I guess I’d say it’s not that I do better when I’m happy, but that I’m happy when I do better.

I haven’t been very happy since Covid started. But I’ve maintained my weight pretty well.

But if I’m going back to emotional eating, my strategy is pretty much sad- eat, happy- eat, angry- eat, depressed- eat, the list goes on.
