Runny nose and a mild cough starting Saturday. Tested negative then, but with ongoing symptoms, retested today. Bingo! Repeated the test with one from another manufacturer, and got the same result. So, I’m in isolation at home - me and my rapidly disappearing box of Kleenex. Asked my doctor about Paxlovid.
Very grateful to have deferred this until this point in the pandemic - after multiple vaccines, with milder strains, and with Paxlovid available. Here’s hoping this is as bad as it gets. 🤷🏻♂️

So far, five days of symptoms in, the biggest problem is the rate at which I’m going through Kleenex. Let’s hope it stays that way - or gets better! My PCP concluded that given my low symptom level and the fact that five days have passed, prescribing Paxlovid was not a worthwhile option.1
