Hi
About 8 weeks ago, I got in to keto. I’m 5ft 7inch and weighed in at 195lbs. I stopped keto as the wife has a missed miscarriage and we were in and out of hospital for a few weeks. Before the hospital trips, I managed to get down to 172lbs. During the bad time, I went back on to my usual diet, which is pretty pore but only gained 7lbs. Anyway, last week I tried to get in to Keto, and yesterday I finally did. I’m not sure what my ideal weight is but I was going to aim for 155lbs as my first goal. I don’t want to be stick thin.
I’m a meat eater, I love meat which is handy for this diet. Generally what I eat is OK, but I need to add some spice / sauce or something. This is my kind of what I eat each day
Morning (Prepared night before), sausages and bacon (Add 2x eggs on the weekend)
Lunch time I normally have a salad with some meat
Evenings, again normally meat with vegetables
It is the same every day, It’s just the meat that changes.
I don’t mind cooking, but I’m not that good at it. I’m also not that adventurous trying new food however I need to. I have searched on-line for recipes, but I’m not finding much. Is there a collection of easy to make recipes on line I could follow?
I’m also missing my favorite desert, Apple pie and custard. Can someone help me come up with some deserts?
Thanks
James

Here's a 6 day meal plan with cooking instructions - maybe you'll see something you like or can modify to taste

Here's another site with low carb dishes - the link is for "induction" menus so they are very low carb. I have tried several dishes from Linda's Low Carb site and love them enough to make them staples in my keto rotation. Lots there to see for sure!

Another of my favorite sites is this one - in fact, I think I'm going to make the Jalapeno Popper Cauliflower Casserole tomorrow!

Here's a custard recipe that one of my MFPals posted:

I like browsing thru here for dessert ideas - just be careful because some recipes aren't as LC as necessary if your trying to keep carbs under 25g.

I'm still mulling around how to recreate apple pie that's keto-friendly & haven't tried any recipes yet so I don't have one to recommend.
My diary is open if you wanna browse thru it. Feel free to ask questions!0 -
I love keeping it fairly simple. I cook enough for a couple to a few days and switch things around a little. I might cook a casserole of some sort (tonight was hamburger (Cooked), hot sausage (cooked), cream cheese, diced tomatoes, and green chilies mixed with cheddar cheese on top). Portion it out. I also like crustless quiche: eggs, heavy cream, a meat(s) of choice, veggies of choice-broccoli, onion, tomato, mushroom, spinach, etc. i eat a lot of eggs, butter, and chicken breasts. Kroger has a fabulous hot bar where you can get protein (salmon, pork chops, chicken, etc). It's good and not real expensive.0

I recently bought Dana Carpenter's "Fat Fast Cookbook." Even though the book is about a fat fast, you could make any of the recipes for every day keto. Best $6 I ever spent. http://www.amazon.com/Fat-Fast-Cookbook-Recipes-ebook/dp/B00BGGBE20/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1378329344&sr=1-2&keywords=dana+carpender+cookbooks0
