I'm happy with that reduction . . not a lot, but I felt more focused. I hope to keep that going despite traveling later this week.

Sarah, I experience more cravings and hunger when I'm tired. I think our bodies try to get more energy that way. Do you have another comfortable bed or sofa where you could get some sound sleep while hubby is in pain? I've done that when I'm desperate for sound sleep. And, I hope you recover well with vein treatment. Are you getting it injected or laser treatment?

I have a busy day ahead, so I'll check back tomorrow. I look forward to seeing everyone's post.

    So, steady as she goes. I've fluctuated between 130 and 131 all week, never going above 131, but also never going below 130.

    Congrats Sheesh on your reduction. That's about a half a pound, which is good for us shorties. And to answer your question about the vein, she will use an injection. I think they use a laser on spider veins, but this is a deeper, larger vein that appears on the surface like a bruise that is about the size of a dime. I am not looking forward to wearing a support hose and staying off that leg for a couple of days. The hose makes me itch and I only want to sit when I want to sit--not when someone tells me too. :p And you may be right about the appetite and the interrupted sleep. We do have a guest room which has a great mattress. Hubby moved himself there when I had Covid. I may consider that if he keeps waking me up. I hope once he gets the patio work done, which is really stressing his back and neck, his pain will subside.

    I need to run, so here are my 7-day stats.
    Steps = 10,638
    Kcals burned = 1,686

    Once again, not so good, but not terrible. And once again, I'm not putting in stairs because that number just seems too high to be accurate (18 floors a day). I think the outdoor walking, which is very hilly and often in the wind is playing havoc with that count.

    My goal for next week, given the couple of rest days, is to stay the same. And I've adopted a new motto that I'll share: "Act as if." I'm finding that if just try to act as if I have more energy than I feel, it actually helps.

    Lois, Kelly and Katie, will check back soon to see how you're doing. Sheesh, have a wonderful trip and tell us all about it when you get back here.

    Happy Thursday Ladies. Sorry , I've been reading the posts when I can, but have been super busy/tired and have not responded. The CPAP adjustments seem to have made a big difference. Now if I can get hubby to turn off the kitchen light before he falls asleep, maybe I can sleep through the night (I did on two nights already). Tomorrow night I'll go back upstairs and attempt to sleep there Fri and Sat. If Fri goes horrible, then I may not on Sat as I need to be up early on Sunday to meet with Kelsie, the older granddaughter. We have horse lessons and then lunch afterwards. My ingrown toe is doing better, still hurts but the epsom salt baths seem to be helping quite a bit. I think I need one more big dig at it to get it past the point. But I don't wanna...lol. I did Sun-Tues I was "under the weather" where I ran a fever of just over 1 degree higher (I run 97.3 regularly so 98.6 is a fever for me). It was closer to 98.9 most days, so I skipped PT. Just work and rested. Tuesday and Wednesday I felt much better. I did walk around the block twice both Tues & Wed. Hit .93 and .92 miles...so close to a full mile, but not quite there. I had PT this morning and I'm wiped again. We'll see how I feel when workday is over whether or not I get in another lap or two.

    Sheesh - GREAT job on the reduction!!!! Stay focused and have a great time in Portland with the grandkiddies. Safe travels and good times for you!!

    Sarah - great job on your reduction!!! Super proud of you for finding your way to your class. A lot of people would just say the roads were closed...sorry.

    Kelly - Keep your self moving girl!! You're doing awesome with all of the kids activities and life.

    Katie - you've been in my prayers and I hope that life is treating you well. Hoping we hear from you soon.

    Ok...this weekend is just cleaning the house to get ready for Easter in a couple of weeks. We still have the Christmas boxes by the door so hopefully soon hubby and I will be able to take them to storage. We'll be on the other side of town for horse lessons and lunch with the 11 yo granddaughter for her belated birthday lunch. My daughter is packing up in Okinawa to move to San Diego and then she'll be visiting us as well...hopefully she'll be out ahead of her hubby and be here with us for Easter. Fingers are crossed.

    Just a quick post my weight post. Bit of a tougher week this week with the eating, but my workouts have been top notch. Sleep has not been super fantastic. Hopefully next week is better!
