Bad Days

I spent my weekend eating and drinking everything imaginable. Now its Monday morning and I feel gross, my face looks bloated and I'm craving vegetables.

It makes me really appreciate how much better I feel (and look!) on paleo.

Does anyone else get this? Its kind of a blessing - because I can't imagine going back to 'normal' eating 24/7, knowing how crap it makes me feel.

Oh goodness yes. I don't even eat non-paleo anymore because of how horrible it makes me feel.

Same thing happen to me..whole body gets swollen. I always thought I was the only one who craved fruits/veggies when hungover! haha Have lots of water with apple cider vinegar, it helps. I hate the way that feels, I am so thankful for this way of living

I very much understand this problem. This past weekend for me was very hectic and due to the nature of moving houses (for family) food was provided and naturally none of it was paleo. I'm the only one who eats paleo so I'm usually the last thought in anyone's head. But due to the nature of the food that was provided, I too feel bloated and awful. Wish I could just sleep it off, but now it's back to business and I'm moving forward from here stronger than ever!

ahh i'll have to remember this! I keep forgetting that its meant to be good for your tummy.

But yeah I'm always chasing fruit & veg smoothies when I'm hungover, whereas my friends seem to want to eat pub grub or KFC or something crap.

Provides healthy probiotics to the disrupted gut flora from eating sugar/grains, and can help detox the system.

I also crave a good salad with some protein after a food hangover!! haha

Ugh- I totally went for the chips and Velveeta cheese dip on Saturday, and the cheesy bread sticks on Sunday. Accompanied by numerous beers, of course.

WOOF, I was so sluggish on Monday morning, not hungover, but just felt so lazy. I also made myself an acv drink to get myself going. You guys might like this idea, it was pretty tasty!

1t to 1T of ACV (however much you want)
4 oz kombucha (I love a good two-fer of the probiotics)
    1T of lemon juice
    ice

Not sure if it was that combo or the ginger-coconut-peach smoothie I also had, but I did have an awesome 5 hours of food prep following that awesome sustenance.
