Read it and weep! I am definitely near the top of the arc this weigh-in day. It's not the top, though. I was at 132 yesterday which was the top. And having that two in there really got me to thinking about what has been different and what I can do to effect a little course correction. I really can't totally blame the holiday, although I did make a homemade blueberry crisp and I had two servings of that (one on Sunday and one on Monday). Thankfully I gave half of what was leftover to a friend whose wife does not eat sugar, and thus he seldom gets homemade desserts. But I can't blame the pound and a half on just that holiday meal. I think the real culprit is eating after dinner, which is easy to do when you go to bed after midnight. And we just can't seem to break that habit. This week was particularly hard because the Nats are playing on the West coast and so the ballgames start at 9:30 EDT. Two days a week, I have to get up early for class regardless of when I go to bed, and so I think lack of sleep is a factor. Not only am I dragging by the afternoon, but I think when I'm tired, I'm also more prone to snack. This week I will have three early mornings because I have my Bone Builders certification course on Friday, and it starts very early plus requires a little commute. I have tried so hard to talk myself out of going to this training, but I keep telling myself to stop being so negative and hesitant.
Being too hesitant washes into other areas of my life. For example, I will find something online I want to order, put it in the cart, and then give myself 10 reasons why I should wait to complete the transaction. And sometimes the item sells out by the time I decide that, yes, I do want it!
However, I am doing something today that is out of the ordinary for me. I am getting some highlights (foils) done by a stylist other than my regular one. And I am a little nrevous. I finally was able to have my hair cut by my regular stylist last week, but the first time he could do both a cut and foils would have been more than 9 weeks since the other stylist gave me a cut, and I was looking pretty shaggy. So I took the haircut only slot and then decided that I really wanted the foils since my hair is looking a little dull as it continues to fade from strawberry blonde to ash blonde to what someday I think will be white. So here's hoping!
Well, we are trying to clean out the garage today and get plant containers moved out back, so I'll just share my daily averages for the past 7 days and try to circle back later.
Steps = 10,704
Kcals burned = 1,791 (at least I'm getting closer to my 1,800 daily goal)
Stairs = 17 floors
Hope all is well with everyone. Looking forward to hearing how your weeks went.

Oh Sarah - stop being so hard on yourself. You're doing great, and your numbers are always fluctuating. (coming from someone who hasn't stepped on a scale in MONTHS). I'm happy to hear your taking the classes still. Are you going to get certified so that you can also teach it?
My stretchy clothes fit, but my denim jeans are TIGHT - EEK. I did order a size up and am a little (well ok A LOT) upset with myself. I can't keep using the injury(ies) as an excuse. Anyhow, unsure if I shared (but I did on FB) but we've cancelled the Factor meals. We didn't receive our delivery last week and when I called in the afternoon the day AFTER they were supposed to arrive, I was told they couldn't do anything until after 8pm that day. Well, that's 11pm ET. So when I called at 8:01 my time, that's 11:01 ET - and they're closed. So I called the next day, cancelled the subscription and requested a refund (they wanted to apply to my next order - nope. NO more next orders). This company has ZERO customer service, no one is pleasant or understanding. Across the board, nope nothing we will do for you. So I'm done with them. This week's dinners are Easter left overs (well until tonight anyhow). I am meeting my friend this evening and putting in the order for the Optavia meal plan. I am hoping to start that next week and only be on it for a couple of months and slowly get myself back to cooking and meal prepping. I'm truly hoping this helps me to find my way back to it. I've ordered the food several times, to end up not preparing it and tossing it all out. I went to the podiatrist on Monday for my gross ingrown. He prescribed an antibiotic and the soonest we could schedule the procedure is MAY 10! I'm on day 2 of the antibiotic. He said it should start to feel better after being on the antibiotic for a few days so hoping that kicks in tomorrow. I've stayed out of PT last week and yesterday, but I on schedule for tomorrow. Wrapping this ugly toe in a band aid and hoping I can get it in a shoe tomorrow morning.
Easter was awesome and quiet for us. I had my two kids and their spouses (and Rhea). This was the first easter since 2003 that we've all been together. My daughter moved to Hawaii in summer of 2003. Too much candy still...ugh. And I've been snacking on it - UGH.
Looking forward to reading everyone's updates!

A step in a better direction. Just a quick posting of my weight, as I'm at work. I missed posting my weight last week, so it was a priority for me today. I'll be back to post and read more.0 -

Okay. Slow progress. I know I could have done better. The exercise is there. I even did a HIIT workout. It’s the intake.
So, I haven’t been able to get on MFP on my Mac for a few days. I finally decided to post on the app on my phone. 🫤 So, I will be very brief due to one finger or thumbs typing. So frustrating!
I read your posts, and everyone, including me, is figuring out how to keep at it and keep trying. I’m proud of us for that. Kelly, congratulations on a reduction!
Sorry to be brief. Posting on the app is awful. And I also have my trainer apt soon. It’s raining here today, and I really don’t feel like doing weight training. . Gotta do it though, 😝
I’ll try again later.

Sheesh, I, too, (and many others) have been experiencing problems with MFP for about a week. I keep reporting mine to tech support just so they'll realize how many people are affected. I think some people are just waiting it out or post on one of the non-monitored threads. I keep reminding myself that I don't pay for this service so I shouldn't get too upset. I do hope they get it fixed soon. Kudos to you and Kelly for having a loss this week. Lois, I know that someday soon your feet, toes, etc., will all be healed and you'll be running rings around us again. And oh lordie, do I remember how you used to meal plan and prep! I've never seen anyone beat what you were doing, and I always imagined you standing at the grill in your backyard.
And tomorrow is the training to get me accredited to teach the class. I'm both looking forward to and dreading it. My instructor is sooo happy that I'm going. She announced to it to the class this morning. 0 -
Congrats on the reductions!!!
Sarah - you're going to LOVE teaching the class, I just feel it!
I've begun the antibiotic and it's a strong one - so lots of yogurt to help the tummy. Sadly, the toe still hurts. I did go to PT even with it hurting. Boy did those exercises hurt after being out for just over a week. But, I'm heading in the right direction.
I met my friend and yep, I put in my order for tons of selections to try (need to weed out what I like/don't like) and fingers are crossed that the products with stevia don't trigger my migraines. The positive and why I'm taking the risk is I currently take Tylenol/Advil during the day, so that's been keeping them away during the storms (it's been light) and I take the Tramadol at night. Another reason the timing is right for me to attempt this. My friend asked me to work the program and so I'm going to give it my best. They have a FB page community, so hopefully I'll find some encouragement there. I would rather do this with real foods, but Lance isn't around anymore and I don't want to spend hours and lots of money to test out another nutritionist.
I'll be back to PT next week. This weekend Tasha and I have Rhea on Saturday for a sleep over (Grandpa is committed to a TKD tournament, so he'll be gone most of the day and exhausted and useless by the time he gets home). So it's Grammy and Auntie time. I have a couple of projects for us to do and some cooking (ok...maybe cookies or maybe just pudding). and some game time. Plus there's a new barbie added to the play area... she checks to see what's new every time she comes over.

Hey, so I was able to log on today with no issues. Yay!
Sarah, tell us how the training went on Friday for accreditation . . I also know you'll enjoy it!
Lois, I'm thinking of you with Rhea yesterday and today. Grandkids are so fun,, but I know are also exhausting! I'm anxious to hear how your new food program goes.
So, hubby and I went to our neighborhood Rec center Friday. We played racquetball and took our swimsuits. We were on game 4 when I went for a ball with a backhand that was coming head height close to me, and I hit myself in the upper forehead with the metal side of the racquet! I'm stronger than you might think (and competitive) and I about knocked myself out! LOL
I felt my head and there was a dent in my forehead up by my hairline. Hubby went and got me some ice and we sat on the bench and laughed about it. We ended up getting into the pool anyway, if just for the cold water on my head. After we came home and I was icing it, I took an ibuprofen 800 mg for the headache. There was still a dent, lol, so hubby called the doctor. They wanted to see me at 6:30 pm, so I rested (I cannot nap during the day btw!) and later off we went. She checked me over for all the signs of concussion . . no X-ray needed. She sent me home with instructions to ice, monitor symptoms, and take it easy. There's a small bruise and bump today, but I can tell a bigger bruise is coming. I started using Arnica gel on it, and putting Arnica pellets under my tongue. Do any of you ladies use that? I think it really works for bruising. Anyway, hahahaha!! Now I have a good show and tell for Family Zoom. I'm itching for a cardio workout or at least a walk today. It's hard to just take it easy.
I hope you're all having a good weekend.

Goodness Sheesh. Hitting your ownself in the noggin! Sounds like something I would do. And hubby and I often get the giggles over things like that. But I'm glad you had it checked. And I haven't tried arnica, although I do bruise very easily. Mentioning bruises, this morning, I somehow hit the end of my big toe VERY hard on the top side of the bedframe as I getting out of bed. So now I have two sore toes. One on each foot. The other was caused by rubbing an adjacent toe. I just hope my hooves don't keep me from walking.
Lois, hope your toe continues to heal. I'm certainly thinking of you as I ponder how long this throbbing will last!
And I do need to stay active after the very caloric dinner hubby cooked last night. If I had had any idea the dish was so high in fat and calories, I would have eaten far less than I did. But now, the best I can do is try to watch things today and stay moving (despite the toes).
Thanks, ladies for the votes of confidence about my leading the class. The instructors class on Friday went well. Now I have to observe three classes other than one I normally attend, and I have to attend a zoom training about the administrative tasks related to the classes. And I have to get all this done by May 25.
Well, I'm off to attack a long to-do list that hubby and I collectively made this morning. Happy Monday, everyone.
