Well, I'm a bit surprised since most of the week I've finally been 130 point something again. And yesterday, I did not sit down from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. I had my class in the morning and then spent the day getting ready to get out of town today. Since we have a house/pet sitter, I wanted everything clean and anything she might need or want available. So I was cleaning, doing laundry, running errands, etc. But, all I can do is report what that evil scale says. >:)

Have to run but wish me luck in keeping my intake in check while eating out for 3 days. I just have to remind myself not to go into that holiday or vacation state of mind that says, "Go ahead and eat whatever you want!"

Hope everyone is having a good week and I'll catch up when I can. Here are my 7-day averages:

Steps = 10,688
Stairs = 22 floors (I still think some hills are being counted as stairs)
Kcals burned = 1,707

Well, I'm a little disappointed because I thought I did well last week. Evil scale is right, Sarah. Have a good time on your trip

I will check back later to read more posts, but I have a busy day ahead. Gotta run.

    WHELP!!!

245.8!! Well, that's what I get for not checking the scale along the way through this pain in the askins journey I've been on. Well, the past few weeks actaully, I've been excessively tired and moody. I'm linking it back to the lyrica rx the doc has me taking for the nerve pain. So I'm cutting out the morning pill and see if that helps. Also, I've been excessively munchy, I'm not a huge muncher, and hubby pointed out that I've been munching more than normal...again..one of they side effects of lyrica (similar to prednisone). If I had read that side effect sooner, I might have become more aware. Anyway, I'm taking steps to get back in the right direction.

Optavia "fuelings" have been received. I have boxes upon boxes of stuff and it arrived too late last night that all I had the energy or brain power to handle was unpacking them. I stuffed some on a shelf in the pantry while the rest of them are on a table in my office area. They're pre packaged bars and shake mixes. Anyhow, it came with a booklet, which again, it arrived so late last night that I couldn't make sense of the readings. So, I begin that wonderful journey tomorrow morning. I've ordered the meat and veggies for my "lean and green" meal (NY Strip, broccoli and romaine salad with balsamic vinegar). That's what I'll have tomorrow and Friday. Hopefully I'll get my head into the booklet tonight and be able to plan other meals for the weekend and next week.

Last weekend we had an awesome time. Friday night sleepover at Rhea's (didn't sleep the best - but ah well), with Rhea and my daughter staying here. We visited Tasha's new horse, Ripley. Rhea was more interested in the barn owner's daughter Juni (so freaking adorable she was - and Rhea's age). '

We got home for lunch and Rhea saw the Barbie's on the table. She then asked me about the "toys in my work (office)". I told her these were them, but these stay at grammy's so they are here for you to play with whenever you visit. Oh Lordy they were a hit. We also did some serious play doh time and some coloring. We chased around the house. We also did a 1/2 mile walk around the block as the sun and temps went down. This was great because it helped wear her down and bedtime was a breeze. She woke at 5:45am!! Oh Lordy, but she got the barbies and played quietly on the couch next to me. I think I nodded off/on as she played and watched Ariel. We had an incredible visit. My son in law came up to pick up Tasha and Rhea (he picked up her car seat from her parent's house along the way). He also brought my other granddaughter Kelsie (his niece). She made comments about how she wished she could have stayed the night as well. And she played with the barbies. This child has never shown an interest in barbies. I returned ones I bought for her years ago because she was "nope" not interested. Too funny. Anyhow, we will have Kelsie for a sleepover next time Auntie visits so she can have a special night as well.

Ok. So...back to what the hell am I going to do now?!?!? Well, PT is still about 2 hours every Tues/Thurs. I am exhausted when I'm done. And the antibiotic has helped the ingrown, so on non PT days, I've got to get my *kitten* around the block TWICE minimum! got to get on this program and let it work. Stick to the plan. Once I've committed I'm pretty good. Hoping this also gets me to want to meal prep again. Pray for me!!

Ladies, I thank you for always being there. I'm sorry I've been absent, life has been insane. I haven't even been on the site on my phone as work's been insanely crazy and I've been exhausted at the end of the day (insert possible lyrica side effect).

You gals will get back on track. Sarah - I am super excited for you to get certified. I think this is going to be a positive add to your retirement days.

Sheesh - I can't tell you the number of times I'd hit my head with the raquetball racket. So I feel for you!!! So glad no concussion or other issues. And yes, I use the arnica cream, but I have not used the tablets. May have to look into those.

Work beckons. back in a bit

Sarah - Have a fantastic trip! Enjoy your time away.

We're back, and I'm up almost a half pound. I think that is partially due to eating out for three days and partially not moving as much or as fast as usual. Not only was I in a car for hours, but the husband of the other couple is still recovering from shingles and in a lot of pain, and the wife is just not a very active person, so we did not do the amount of walking we would have done alone or with other people. I did, however, use the hotel treadmill to ensure that I got at least 10K steps in everyday. But in addition to restaurant food, because we could not always eat when our usual mealtime came and hubby has blood sugar issues, we snacked on stuff like nuts and dried fruit, which are portable and don't require refrigeration, but are high in calories. It's also hard to track amounts when you're doing that kind of snacking. So, I'm not sure how or even if I'm going to try to log food for those days, but I'm back now and can get back into my own routine.

Sheesh, hope you're getting over your racket accident. Lois, sounds like you're getting back on a good path, and Kelly, you are doing great. Hope we hear from Katie, soon.

Enjoy the weekend, everyone. Rain is coming in here in a few hours, so I'm going to try to get some food in the house and some other errands run before then.
