@Armygirlarmyof1 June's stats don't start until Sun Jun 4th, so the chatroom will open on the 3rd. MODS will pop in and post the link when it's ready.

Lots of nice losses this week...WTG y'all!!
@pupowl Beautiful pictures today...love the deer and especially that tiny little grey and white bird...so precious!!
Had a very busy couple of days at work with our CIO in town from Israel. He took us to lunch today but there were lots of meetings and regular work too...hectic week. Looking forward to things slowing down Thu/Fri!

@jessicakrall8, ok. Ty. I thought I'd missed something 🤔 somewhere since I'd been out of the net for several days and I'm trying to get back into routine again.3

@jessicakrall8 Thank you! That bird was the european pied flycatcher. I thought it was very cute as well. Hope you get to relax soon!2

Good morning Shape Shifters. I had a really busy day yesterday. First I went for another walk. This was one I hadn't done before. It started at the visitors center where they have the nice garden as well, so I had to bike a bit first. Weather was very nice and the walk was pretty too. The only annoying thing was a section of gravel. Not tiny rocks, but fairly large chunks which was pretty painful in my barefoot shoes. I saw several roedeer again and lots of cute birds (yellowhammer, barnswallow and common chaffinch in that order on the pictures).
I got groceries when I got home and forgot I wanted to make a dentist appointment (just a check up), so then I had to go out again for that. In the afternoon I had a vet check up for Tinus. This was mainly due to miscommunication; the vet thought that Tinus was still limping badly. Anyway, the appointment was free and we are stopping the medication soon to see how he does without. In the evening I watered my entire garden and then I was pretty dead so I went to bed at 19:00. Happy Thursday everyone3 -

@looneycatblue
There is a step challenge every month. We post info about it on the first page of the group chat. You pick a daily step goal, report your steps daily or every few days, we will add it to the spreadsheet and at the end of the month we have 'winners'. You are mostly stepping for yourself though, so the goal is to push yourself a little and hit your goal every day. The step challenge for June will start this Sunday the 4th. If you want to join then, just let us know in a few days.2 -
I'm about to start my weekend but have a full day of house painting and a little bit of lawn care lined up. It's fire season here and the forest is very dry.
Have a good day everyone!3 -
As part of my morning bible study/journaling I have been working through 100 Days to Freedom from Overeating. Today was Day 37 about community. From the book
A vital part of finding freedom with food is being able to find a group of people who are dedicated to the same goals you are.
Just wanted to say a quick thank you for being that group!12 -

@looneycatblue Of course you can join for June. The new spreadsheet isn't quite ready but go ahead and give me your first name for the chart and your daily step goal and I'll get you filled in once the new sheet is ready!

Good morning Shape Shifters. Just letting you all know I have asked to be on the support team for a while. I will still do all my captainy duties, so I am not going anywhere. I just struggle a lot lately and want to leave out the weighing for a while. I plan to return to weigh ins in August. Hope everyone is doing well. Happy Friday everyone10

*waves*! Friday and Saturday are my weekend days fam, so I'm off to have a good one. We're doing exciting things like: moving furniture -ooooh ahhh, then I can climb up and down on a ladder all day and paint, and then paint the walls, then repaint a second coat. I'm going to postpone my workouts a little as it's going to be fairly rigorous. My arms already hurt, lol.
We could only afford a rough old trailer house after the market went bananas and our landlord sold the rental we lived in, we had to buy rather quickly and during the pandemic, so we've been redoing the interior to make it livable. We're almost done, just one room left. All weekend I'll be working on that and then probably next week as well. After that we get to rebuild some decks and demolish a gazebo. Good times.
I'm back on the coffee after attempting to quit again. Have a great weekend!5 -

My diet wasn't great this past weekend with the holiday. I've done a lot better limiting candy and snacking, but not quite where I want to be. I've exercised every day this week except Monday. I just need to focus on dropping weight over the next 8 weeks.2 -

Had a crazy work day yesterday and went a lil bonkers on food. Overall I'm still pleased with my efforts this month, especially with tracking and using the diary.
Flying out to a conference next week so I'm thinking thru a strategy for eating hotel and conference food for a week - eek!2 -

I was thinking the other day about how our own perception of ourselves is often so different than others' perceptions of us. About a month ago I visited some cousins of mine whom I hadn't seen since I was a little kid, and I was a little bummed because I thought to myself, "It's such a shame that you're so tubby right now, because that's the only version of you that they're going to know."
Later when I was talking with my cousin's wife, she was talking about how she had started putting squash into her smoothies to increase her veggies, and was trying to watch her diet and whatnot, and she said to me, "We'll, you're skinny, you never have to watch your diet".
I kind of laughed to myself because I thought, here I am worrying that I'm too fat, while in her eyes, I'm so skinny that it must be inherent, and not even require any effort!
It was just a good reminder to try not to worry about how others perceive me, because I have pretty much zero control over it.3 -

Heya @Pupowl ...just wanted to add that if you need a day or weekend off from captainy duties, just let me know and I'm sure I can cover. We all need a break from the scale now and again...
