Whew. Up almost a pound, but I'm not surpised. Because I've been sick, everything has been "off" for me this past week. On Saturday and Sunday, I felt much better, but woke up on Monday feeling really sick again. My body said, "just lie down." But that's really hard for me to do. So I just slowly moved through the day.

Yesterday was a little better and so is today (so far), but I'm still not back normal. This has been a stubborn virus. In fact, hubby got sick about a week before I did, and he's still not full speed. But I did make it to class yesterday since we are still wearing N95's and staying 6 feet apart even though the county no longer requires it. (Don't want to give this to anyone else.) However, getting in some activity every day has been difficult this past week, and I don't burn the same kcals when I walk on the TM and take lots of breaks (which I've needed to do) as I do when walking my hilly outside route or doing a higher speed, continuous TM walk. Thus the weight gain. But hopefully, in a few days, I can get back to the latter two.

Frankly, I still feel like lying back down would feel so good, so I'm to going to cut this short. Before I go, here are my not-so-hot 7-day averages:

Steps = 10,109 (not terrible since one day I could only eek out 5K)
Kcals burned = 1,658
Stairs = 10 floors

Looking forward to hearing how everyone's doing. Will be back later.

Increase, but I'm not surprised with baseball games, etc.

Sarah, that virus hanging around is frustrating. Don't push it with movement if you're physically needing rest. Your averages are incredibly good, even if you weren't ill.

Just wanted to get a post here before my busy Wednesday gets away from me. I'll check back tomorrow to read your posts.

WOW 3 lbs down and as posted last week, inches coming down around. The meal plan is tough, I ain't gonna lie. but I did make one of the recipes from their site and it turned out tasty - zucchini lasagna. No ricotta, so this round, I may need to add that next week. Actually going to try the zucchini lasagna this week (if the store doesn't run out of spaghetti squash this week). I'm still struggling to stay plan compliant, but I can't cut out the lyrica entirely, the leg issues are too strong with the velcro on the back of my leg. I had my toenail done today. The doc said he didn't need to remove the entire nail, so he cut out my "toothpick" piece from the first time, trimmed a bit more and packed it with the stuff that's supposed to keep it from coming back. Fingers are crossed. The pain level is increasing so I've added a pain killer today and napped. It's still very owie at the moment, but he assured me I will feel so much better in the next couple of days.

Sarah - please take the time to relax and let your virus run it's course and feel better soon. Everything will come in time. I'm still excited about you teaching your own class. When will that be?

Sheesh - great job at handling your crazy schedule and planning. I love how you handle your ups/downs. How did the measures go with your trainer??? Your comments about measures is what prompted me to pull my measure tape out again the other day. It did help me stay committed to the plan I'm on.

I thought of you last night. I was working in Scottsdale (cleaning out my old office) and my daughter told me that Kelsie (the 11 yo grand) had a "trash can band concert" at 7pm. So when I was done with my office, instead of going home, I went Kelsie's and finished my workday there. It was great to be there when she got home and visit for a bit. Her "trash can band" was pretty awesome. I was so proud of her. She was super happy I went and I am too. Though driving the hour plus home at 830 was ROUGH. So, I think if I can do that more next year, I may pack and just stay the night and either work from her house or go to the office. It was awesome. But I thought of you and doing the "grandma' things. I've missed it and them.

Kelly and Katie - looking forward to hearing your updates.

Aw, Lois, your comments really touched me. I'm so glad you went to see her "trash can band" :) Driving an hour is hard, and extra driving that you don't need, but she'll remember. <3

Congratulations on your reduction! You're really getting good results. I'm so glad you got your toe taken care of and it will heal now. Like I've said, any pain in the feet is awful. .there are so many nerves, and it's impossible to stay off feet totally. I know you'll get through PT and get your injury behind you too.

Actually my trainer forgot to bring her skin caliper squeeze thingy, so we postponed measuring to next week now, so I just gave her my weight. Also, she has no childcare this week for her preschooler and had to bring him :) He's darling though, and spends his time watching Disney channel or on his iPad. He's been here before, and when he got here he said "oh yeah, I remember this lady's house . . she's the one who gives me cookies" LOL! He was too shy to break out the Brio stuff or toys much.

    Sarah, I hope you're feeling better. <3

Well I'm off to a haircut, thank goodness it's not the color and cut that takes hours.

Happy Friday, everyone. For me, today has to be a better day than yesterday! I am still struggling with fatigue and some chest congestion. I must say, this virus has been a doozy. Yesterday, I felt well enough in the a.m. to go to my class and in the early afternoon observed a class as part of my certification process. I should have stopped at that point. But I noticed that some of the expensive plants I bought last weekend were needing attention, so I got two container gardens prepared and watered and feed and watered other plants, and then I ran a couple of errands. By 9 p.m., I was at that point where I was so fatigued and fuzzy headed, that I couldn't do anything right. For example, hubby took the inner part of the kitchen trash can out to empty it and replace the bag, and I did not notice that and dumped coffee grounds into the inner can. What a mess. Got that cleaned out and reached for a water bottle on the counter and knocked the darn thing over soaking the day's mail. So long story short, it wasn't the best of days and I only got 7K steps and that was miracle.

Looking over my food diary, I've realized that I'm still deficient many days in protein and for some reason, since I've been sick, I have craved crackers. Not chips or other snack items, but things like Goldfish and Trader Joe's "everything but the bagel" crackers. So, my resolve for the next few days is to increase my protein intake and stay away from crackers. :# Also, I'm doing better with vegetable intake than I am with fruit, so I'm going to work on that. I have, thankfully, stayed away from some lemon cupcakes that my friend Lyn brought by Wednesday, so that's one plus. Anyway, I thought I'd stop in here to note my goals, as that helps me stay on track, and I also wanted to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day. You are all truly wonderful Moms. <3

I'm in that teeter totter mode. This weight lifting workout has me more hungrier than normal, but I just have to start paying better attention to what I'm consuming. I just started week 11 of 13 of my program and then once I'm done, I want to get into more calorie burning type of workouts like cardio/HIIT. This one I'm doing now is definitely getting me stronger and more mobile, but I don't sweat as much or burn as many calories as I'd like.

Lois - awesome job sticking to it! I'm sure seeing the lbs drop and the inches going down is helping you stay motivated for sure! Love zucchini lasagna. I have yet to master how to make it less watery, but we still enjoy it. I've tried the salt trick and paper towel.

Sheesh - Always nice being remembered as the cookie lady :D Super cute pic of your little baseball fan <3

Sarah - So glad you're back to feeling almost normal. I love flowers/plants too. My Mom and I's tradition for Mother's Day/time of year, is to go to the greenhouses together. My Mom is a BIG gardener and always has been. She's amazing at it too, so I learn a lot from her. Love spending time with her when I see her eyes light up from plants. She puts a lot of time and thought into picking out what she wants, does her research and her yard is amazing. It's honestly too much for her to manage, but somehow her and Dad do it together. We went to some greenhouses last weekend and I'll be heading out to her place on Sunday to go to another greenhouse with her.

Happy Mother's Day to all you ladies. Fur babies, kids or step kids, we're all Moms. <3

Happy belated Mother's Day to all of you lovely ladies!!! My weekend was super quiet. Saturday I swear I slept the day away. Came downstairs. Watching some show with hubby, moved to the couch as the recliner was hurting my calf - racked out while watching the show and reading on my phone. Did that twice. Sunday my daughter came up and we went to Red Lobster for dinner. I had one biscuit, two of of the shrimp from the appetizer, salad with just a touch of dressing, my 1.5lb of crab legs - super duper YUM - and three small bites of the dessert. I didn't go overboard but I was happy. I'm up 1.5lbs today...and only 3 or my "fuelings" before we left for the restaurant (so skipped the other three as I was full from Linner (we got there at 330 as I was hungry from only my 3 small fuelings - so not lunch, but not quite dinnertime). We had some great conversation and I just loved my date with her and my hubby. My son and DIL went up north as her grandma is not feeling well and they needed a visit. I understand these things and don't expect them to be here every weekend.

Sarah - listen to your body and rest as you need to. So glad you're not throwing in the towel for your certification. Stay with it. And I know how you love your plants so happy you are taking care of them.

Sheesh - the trainers little one - the cookie lady made me smile. That's a great nickname for the little ones to have for you!! You're baseball fan is so ADORABLE!!! Oh my goodness those curls!

Kelly - I love reading your posts about the times you take your mom shopping and doing some of the things she enjoys. That is so awesome. And I also haven't figured out how to get ride of the "wateriness" either. I do the salt paper towel thing as well - even overnight and it still has a wateriness to it. Even breaking it down to small portions, I discard the excess, but when I reheat, there it is again. I really wanted spaghetti squash, but the store has been sold out for the past couple of weeks. Added to today's delivery order again in hopes.... Kelly - you would think that the results I'm seeing would motivate me, but I am honestly struggling with it on a daily basis (heck hourly most days). Most days I'm on program. I break it with a snack of string cheese whenever I break it - so I guess I could be making even worse choices... I have a bowl with my 15 almonds for the day and I pick at them throughout the day.

Hoping everyone has an amazing week.
