60+ with broke ankle

60 yr old male broke tibia @ ankle March 8th 2023. No weight bearing for 2 months so was a life changing event. Cardiologist concerned about blood pressure want me to drop some pounds to get off half medications. Therapy said ABSOLUTELY NO TREADMILL but to walk 1/2 mile on flat surface. Airsoft air cast came off today, walking starts Wednesday after Chiropractor visit.
