Hope everyone is doing okay. My weight for today is probably lower than it would normally be because I was fasting for a medical appointment, and I usually weigh after having a huge mug of coffee.

Won't have test results until tomorrow or Friday (thyroid, Vitamin D, and cholesterol), but she decided to continue to just watch my BP for 3 more months. It was just a little high today, but I was caught in a traffic snarl due to lane closures and I warned them that my heart was racing when I finally made it there. I am supposed to take my BP three times a week and keep a spreadsheet that I will send to her at the first of September. It seems like I always have medical appointments lumped together. I have the dermatologist and the eye doctor next week and I think I'm also going to have to work in a dentist appointment.

Wish I had something interesting to report, but this has just been an ordinary week. Today, I finally I bit the bullet and started cleaning out another closet. About 6 months ago, I gave away a bunch of work suits, dresses, and jackets, and almost every fancy dress I owned. Most were too big and since I don't need that type of clothing now, it was not worth considering alterations. Those were in the guest room closet. Today, I hit my walk-in. A lot of the clothing in there is also too big or it's something that I just don't like. After I started teleworking (and that was a while ago), when a conference or important in-meeting came up, I would panic buy. I'm sure you gals remember me talking about that! It would be nice to have someone who would be honest and tell me if something is unflattering or "old womanish" to help me weed out this stuff, but I didn't want to wait around. I am not finished but made a good start.

Well, it's time to think about walking, so here's my 7-day averages. Once again, I was okay with steps, but not with kcals burned. I gave up on 1,800/day, but most days I can't seem to even get into the 1,700's. But I'll just keep plugging.

Steps = 10,664
Stairs = 19 floors
Kcals burned = 1,667

Hoping to hear from everyone soon.

    It's getting more predictable. If I can continue with .2 or so every week, I'll be where I want to be this fall.

    I'm super busy, been running around all day for the kid's visit. . I'm excited to see everyone! So, this will be a short check in.

    Sarah, sorry about the funk. Exercise helps for sure, but sometimes a good *itch session with a girlfriend is the best medicine, in my opinion. I admire your getting going on closets . . that's on my list for after this visit. Along with a bunch of other stuff, lol!

    I'll check back tomorrow evening, I hope.

    Swapping those numbers around is nice! So sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been super busy at work and just haven't had a chance to pop on, even just to post my weight.
    I can't remember if I mentioned this, but I finished my 13 week workout program called 645! I am super proud of myself for sticking to it. My favorite part of it was the mobility and stability days, as I can definitely tell that made a difference in how mobile I am. I'm also a bit more stronger, which is nice. After that finished, I haven't really dedicated myself to 1 program, but I am doing something called an All Bodi block. It's nice to have something to follow. I think it's only 4-6 weeks or something. So I'm 4 days into that it's going well. This week I have been paying more attention to the amount of food I eat and how much. Not really cutting anything out, but just not have those certain things ALL the time.

    Other than that, we have been super busy with the kids sports, as per normal lol Ball hockey is twice a week for each kid. Sometimes they fall on the same night so we're running all over the city in back to back games and other nights, they're staggered nights. It's over at the end of June I believe. After that, Ella is in a hockey camp for all summer on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays where she gets some on-ice training and some dryland training. Tyler is busy with his classroom (virtual) portion of starting to get his driver's licence and he'll also be looking for his first summer job this year. Crazy how time flies with kids.

    Anywho, just touching base quickly. I'm in a course this week at our head office so I popped on before it starts. Next week I'm off to a lodge for the rest of the course for 3 days and I'm gone from Tuesday to Friday. Not sure what kind of time I'll have to post, but I'll try my best.

    I hope all is well with everyone. I'll take a look at everyone's posts when I get a moment.

    I worked very hard at staying on the "program" I've truly earned this! I was down yesterday with a bad *kitten* migraine. Started on Tuesday but I was nonfunctioning yesterday. Seriously only 200 steps. I came downstairs twice to eat and tried resting but ended up back upstairs after short periods. I even wore my sleep mask both down and upstairs. It took 2 relpax tabs and a zomig last night along with my tylenol and advil that i take daily for my leg. It was brutal. Today I feel pressure in my head and fogginess but I'm somewhat functioning. My work laptop died on my (well the display part - if I wasn't connected to external monitors I couldn't see a screen). The new laptop, well, like Sarah - I hate change. And I'm attempting to set up my shortcuts and everything again. Well, with the new laptop it's also not liking my current wireless keyboard/mouse combo. So I've ordered a new one and am anxious for it get here so I can get back to work. It won't always allow me to type...so frustrating.

    Anyhow, I did order another box of the "fuelings" for this program. I take Imodium 2/week and that seems to keep the gi in order. I found another FB page and others are having similar problems - so it's not just me...I somehow feel better about that.

    Well, I'm being pinged again so I'll check back later... possibly tomorrow given my head issues.

    Happy Friday. Lois, I was relieved to see your post. I had planned to send you an email today if you did not show up to make sure you are okay. I do so related to your laptop woes. I also went through the issues with keyboard, mouse, etc. when one of mine was replaced. The last couple of government issued laptops that I had were real stinkers. I had one that I had to sit on a thick coaster or it would get hot and make sizzling sounds. And it was so tiny, you absolutely had to have an external monitor, but it did not have the proper port to support a shared external monitor, so I had to either have two monitors on my desk or unhook and rehook when I used my personal laptop. What a pain. Hope all your equipment woes are soon resolved and that the migraine goes away.

    Yesterday was an odd day for this area. The smoke from the Canadian fires reached us in a big way. We were code purple, which is worse than red. The Nationals game was postponed because of it and people were warned to not exercise outdoors and to stay inside all the time if you have allergies, lung conditions, asthma, etc. The sun was shining but it looked foggy, and the sky was gray instead of blue. So needless to say, I walked on the treadmill. Today is much better--code orange--so I hope to get in at least some outside activity.

    Kelly, you are such an inspiration. I took a peep at the 645 program, and it looks pretty intense. Losing two pounds in less than two weeks while also gaining muscle is impressive. And I'm with you on food. I seem to do best if I concentrate on amounts. I am, however, still trying to keep an eye on protein. I love meat and cheese, so who would think that it would be so hard to make my recommended amount of protein!

    Sheesh, I know that you're excited about seeing the kids and grands. Just don't overwork yourself. Looking forward to hearing about how they mark this event. Your family is so creative. I loved the photo film they did for you. I've probably said this before, but one of my few regrets is not having photos of my young self. My adopted brother destroyed most of my childhood pictures (he has mental health issues) and my ex got rid of ages 19 to 35. So my life in pictures (with a handful of exceptions) starts at 35. But hey--that's young! You should see my hairdo at that age. It was sort of like the editor in Dilbert, without the point at the very top. :p

    Well, chores await, so off I go. Have a great weekend, everyone.
