Hi, all. I am pleasantly surprised because I have been hungry all day for the past two or three days and have no idea why. I think I've had this happen before, but I can't remember much about those times so I'm not sure if there's a common thread. I'm kind of in the same old place with intake and activity. My 7-day averages were:
Steps = 10,647
Kcals burned = 1,672
Steps = 15 (Had to average this one myself. Fitbit is just adding and gave me the 7-day sum for steps this week. I new when I saw 106 that something was up!)
But back to the "same old place," I was thinking about this as I walked this week, feeling a little bummed out about staying in the same 130-132 range for so long. But I decided that if I accept that as an okay place to be, it's inevitable that I will soon be 131-133, then 132-134 and so on. And perhaps realizing that continuing to try to tweak things and get a little lower is important is why I was down a little despite having this hunger thing going on.
Lois, I hope you are feeling better and that the new program is continuing to yield some positive outcomes for you. What a year you've had with that leg and foot. It's time for good times to come your way.
Sheesh, I know you're running around like crazy getting ready for the Fathers Day/Big birthday event. Hope you get a chance to pop in. And Kelly same with you. I wonder where my days go and so I know you do! Are you guys doing something other than the lake this summer?
Well off to do a couple of things before dinner time. Hubby wants to make pizza on the grill. We have one of those big ceramic egg type grills that are supposed to be good for this, but the one time we tried, it was a disaster. We have something that looked more like calzones!
Yesterday, I was co-leader of the class (I did upper body) and then I had to race to a haircut appointment (went shorter!) and from there to the dermatologist. Tomorrow is my annual eye exam scheduled a year ago, so I have to miss class. I seem to lump appointments all together and also avoid some (still need to call the dentist). Good news is that results from my PCP appointment last week were good. Thyroid, cholesterol, and vitamin D levels were all okay. I do dread the eye exam tomorrow though. My eyes stay dilated for a very long time. Good thing I can practically braille my way home.

I worked hard at not adding more food/fuels this past week. Had my right toenail corrected yesterday, so not PT this week. However, I will add that this toe doesn't quite hurt like the left one did....so for that I'm super thankful and hoping I can proceed to PT on Tuesday without excess pain. We are having an uncommonly cooler June so I'm hoping I can get either morning walks (must wake up earlier) or later evening walks in. Lately it's been more due to the toes that it hurts to wear sneakers so fingers are crossed.
It's a tough program for me...but I'm managing along
Sarah - glad you shared instruction on your class and I'm sure you'll be leading your own classes very soon.
Hubby's bday was last week and I stayed on my meal plan for his bday dinner (and somehow still had a reduction this week). I don't know what the Father's Day plans are going to be on Sunday but I've got this!!

That reduction is great, Lois, and well-deserved. Good for you for staying on your program on your hubby's birthday. Those days are hard for us all. And you do have this! And we have your back.

As for me, my weight is doing its usual swinging around. Wednesday, 129.8; Thursday, 130.8; today, 131.2. And nothing has really changed. I've pretty much stayed the same with both intake and activity. I did have to miss my class yesterday due to an eye exam I booked long before these classes began, but going to class does not seem to make much of a difference in my daily kcals burned.
And do enjoy the cooler weather while you can. We've had cooler weather here on the East Coast, too. We've only had one or two really hot and humid days so far this spring. But summer is approaching so I know more is coming. The DMV (DC and the Maryland and Virginia suburbs) is swamp-town in the summer.
Again, congratulations on those four pounds and enjoy the Fathers Day weekend.

Hi ladies! I hope you'll forgive me for my total absence, and Sarah, I wish I had read your comment about not overworking myself earlier. All family had gone home as of yesterday, and I'm exhausted! Now I know why you have small children when you're young. I'm young at heart, so I go at it pretty hard with them, but I pay the price. We had so much fun! Way too much fun, lol! My house looks like a bomb went off in it! I never even stepped on a scale and still haven't . . . I'm afraid to
Let's see, baseball game, hikes, movie, inside and outside games like "ghosts in the graveyard" and "cops and robbers", board games, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, desserts, snacks, hot tub, homemade snow cones, Rec Center pools, parks, picnic, and playgrounds, water gun fights, dancing (the baby is a riot), pillow forts. In addition, my son and his wife were training for a half marathon, so they went running most days. We celebrated hubbies 70th Birthday, and also SIL's birthday which was on June 9th, and on the last day, Father's Day too. My daughter made a similar video of hubby. It was so good, very touching, and the little grandkids hardly recognized him in some of the photos from so long ago, lol! There was gift opening, AND THEN . . . . our daughter here announced she is pregnant again!!! They opened the gender reveal on the large TV with all of us (they didn't know either). They are having another girl in December!!!
I'm proud to also say I did not cancel my trainer last week. One day she brought her kiddos with her to play (my invitation . . keep the grandkids busy while my DIL and I worked out with her). They had so much fun. Grandpa played with them all, locking them up in the "mail house jail house" (a structure we have here with a locking gate for the neighborhood mail boxes) and only letting them out for good behavior, lol. So, it was a great time and a great visit, but hubby and I are both worn out . . in a good way. My Oregon daughter was not able to bring her hubby (had to work out of town) or her 2 girls (still in school) for this visit, so guess what? They're coming for a visit in early August

While our son was here, he helped us order an EV. We've been wanting to get one for around town to give the finger to the oil companies (Saudi Arabia), and to give up one of our old, polluting cars . . hubby's 4-runner.
Today, my trainer is coming, and I'll get back into my normal workout routines this week. I'll be back to post my weight on Wednesday.

Wow, I just read the reduction numbers for Lois and Sarah!! Congratulations! Lois, I know it's been a tough program, and I'm so proud of you for sticking with it. And, for sticking with the PT too! Keep up the great job you're doing. And Sarah, you're going to be a fitness instructor! And, I'm so jealous of the 120's . . fantastic!0

Sheesh, OMG. I am exhausted from just reading about what all you did. But what fun! And don't be too excited about my reduction. I saw that weight exactly one day and every day since have weighed at least a pound, if not a pound and a half, more. It's such a puzzle.
Today, my class moves from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. because the facility we were using is being used as a summer camp for kids. I'm not too excited about this change. It's easier to get it done and over with in the morning and there's some question about the A/C where we're going. Good thing (or bad considering I'm carrying a bag that weighs about 30 pounds) is that it's in walking distance of my house. The route also includes a long and steep set of stairs, so I'll see how that goes. Today, I'll probably also be carrying an umbrella, as we expect showers every day this week. But we need rain terribly, so I shouldn't complain even though that means a lot of treadmill and less outdoor activity.
Lately, I've been dealing with some low-level anxiety. No reason for it that I can think of--but it's there. So I have to be careful that I don't use that as an excuse to either eat unhealthy foods or sit around too much. Saying that here to reinforce it in my ratty little brain!
