WW had a “Ask Me Anything” session that’s essentially a Q&A largely for newer members. (I wandered in out of curiosity.) One question caught my eye. A person asked, “When is WW going to go to decimals instead of fractions for sizes? Sometimes my grams fall between the fractions.”
Good Lordy . . . . I can't help thinking that assumption of precision doesn’t bode well for a person's long term success. If the fractions that WW uses in the tracker are eighths, this person is looking for someth8ng smaller than one eighth of a gram - a degree of measurement that is in the range of four thousandths of an ounce. I’m honestly pretty sure I still spill more than that when I eat.
Not denigrating anyone else’s journey or expectations, but . . . . wow.

I decided long years ago to only record my weight in whole pounds. I don't do 1/4, 1/2, 3/4. I don't do it because it's the whole pound that matters to me. While I get it that any form of progress is important to many, I also realize that it's about the trend line - not the daily variances that can be due to many things.
So, your point is well made.
BTW, I use a phone app called Happy Scales to record my daily weight and show my trend line. Very good app.1 -

I’ve heard good things about it from people on Connect. My only concern is I’m using WW points for my “boundaries” and double-tracking calories on MFP for a different view and more nutrition insight. Would I get more value from Happy Scale that I get from tracking in MFP, in your opinion? Double-tracking is a bit compulsive I’ll admit; not sure what triple-tracking would say about me. 🤷🏻♂️0 -
I don't track on MFP. I track all of my calories on the NOOM app. I do double-track my weight on both Happy Scale and NOOM. Happy Scale is purely a weight tracking app. No calories. One entry a day for your weight.0

Thanks. I’m tracking my weight on a spreadsheet and doing my own charts and graphs, so I guess I’ll stick with that.1 -

You're not being compulsive. I double track also.1 -
BTW, the WW app now goes down to 1/12.0
