Hi! New to IF and am curious if anyone started with 16:8 no problem or did you ease in starting with 12:12 then 14:10?

I’m new to IF too. I started with 16/8 and every other day or so I do a 22 or 24 hour fast. I started in February and I’ve lost 15 pounds. Slow but steady progress. I’m still eating too much in my window and not exercising like I should.5

I am brand new to IF and am not sure which ratio is best for me. So, I figure I will listen to my body and if it really needs something to eat, I will eat. Otherwise, I'm aiming for 16:8 (fasting 8:30pm-11:30am the following day).1

I started taking L-theanine the day before I started intermittent fasting. I took 4 the first day (Tuesday June 4) and 6 each day after. Today is Saturday June 8. I have had no hunger or cravings.
I started on this because my insurance stopped paying for Mounjaro. I have been stunned because this actually works much better than the Mounjaro and the Mounjaro was $1300 a month with a $300 co-pay and this is only $60 a month for the three bottles that I need to be able to take six a day.
