Today's Topic: Eating when your I'll. I just left Urgent Care with a upper respiratory infection. Doc called In an antibiotic and some cough syrup.

So being behind and late with my LTL Thursday I thought I'd ask I'd your eating habits change much when you're under the weather.

Food that I eat specifically to deal with the illness has zero calories, points or whatever. “And that’s the truth!”

I’ve been blessed so far not to have a lot of illness, but I can get pretty flexible with that definition. Ginger Ale may fit in there, or toast if that's all I can eat. A little honey to ease the throat? Sure, not a problem.

So I’m pretty willing to, as they say, “give myself some grace” when I’m sick, and figure out what to do about it when I’m better.

Oh, and cough drops and mints are free when you’re sick - did I mention that?

Its not so much that I eat specific things to deal with the illness, as it is tht my attention is on something else besides my weight so I eat what I am able to tolerate while I am sick (ginger ale, chicken soup, soup or saltines etc.)

    Feed a cold.
    Fever? Feed that too.

Actually I started eating chicken noodle soup several years back when I had a cold. Now it’s my regular side dish at the diner where we go for lunch.
