You are getting there. Those half pounds add up. Half a pound a week is 26 pounds in a year. My mantra has been slow and steady. I need to remind myself not to forget that.2 -

Yesterday as well as swimming I walked to Wendy’s with the kids using my cane. It’s not along walk but it added exercise minutes to my day. Only problem is I was in a lot of pain last night and I am paying for it today. My plan is to get in the hot tub before I swim and do a good stretch. My daughter has a friend over today again but I told them no walking except for to the pool house.

I really don't understand how weight loss works lol.. I bounce between small losses and big losses, and strangely got the big loss while I was eating more cals than normal (granted I am still well under 2k cals a day) because I have started throwing in protein powder in my diet. My body must have zero idea what is happening right now, so it is continuously trying to reset itself. As long as the scale is going downwards I am happy, just very strange how it all works out.
I have been lifting weights the last few weeks and yesterday I downloaded the Conqueror Challenge app. Since I am starting to get my steps up, I figured this would motivate me to push myself even more. It is so crazy to think that I was 630 pounds just months ago. There were so many things I could do when I was thinner that I took for granted, and to be able to start doing those things again is such an amazing feeling. Little things like standing while I prepare a meal, pulling the trash bins to the street, standing to shower, putting real shoes on (not just slip ons)...
I was a drug addict for years in an attempt to slowly kill myself. Coming to the realization that I was still trying to kill myself, but with food as my drug, has really changed my perspective and added to my drive. What a wild ride. Love yall and appreciate you being here and motivating me.6 -
You are doing such an amazing job. The highs and lows are normal. Just stick to the gameplan and you'll hit your goals. Trust me.3

Well, I'm officially addicted to Pickleball haha
Apparently I traded in my weed addiction for a Pickleball one.
Played singles Pickleball for an hour and a half last night. My shirt was soaked.
Gonna go for a short run tomorrow morning and then I have a 5km race Saturday morning. Sunday morning I'm walking in our local Pride Parade as a representative of my workplace. Going to get in a lot of steps!2 -

I understand the food demons. I call it the food noise in my head. The ozempic did shut it off but not so much anymore. Anyway, congrats on the loss!

What can I say. My weight has bounced between as low as 172.4 to 175.2. My moving average continues to get lower so I am going to trust the process. I am going to the pool. No kids today so no entertaining of 11 year olds.

Sorry, I haven't been around much the past two weeks. I'm dealing with some health issues. I had two procedures done on my right leg and both of my legs are really swollen right now. Not much exercising, just small amounts of walking as I'm able.
However, this hasn't prevented me from staying around my daily calorie amount (1,620). I'm on a low carb plan ( mostly because I'm a type 2 diabetic and need to keep my blood sugar down) .
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'll be back tomorrow for my second weigh-in.
