Hi Everyone! I need your help!

I have just ordered my chalean extreme challenge Pack. For the first time I will be drinking shakeology.( I think I will be having shakeology just the first month) I do not live in the US and it is too expensive to order and bring it here to my country ( taxes, shipping, courier etc)

I have just finished insantiy, of course I had an improvement in my endurance but I didnt notice any major change ( measurements or weight). I followed the number of calories the program indicated in the nutrition guide.

So now I want to be sure of how many calories to eat during Chalean Extreme.

Im 5.1 ft and 142 lbs -28 yrs old. I have already lost 20 pounds since may 2013 ( just diet). I stopped losing weight when I started to work out!!

My goal : Lose weight ( at least 10 lbs) body fat and tone up

In your experience how many calories Should I eat? What % of carbs, protein and fat will be ideal to achieve my goals.?

Thanks!

Hi and how active are you daily besides working out. Everybody is different on their daily calorie intake and the recommendations from Insanity and other programs are just a average recommendation. Everyone will burn calories differently. Someone with more muscle will burn more calories than someone who weighs the same with but has more fat.

Some people will not lose weight because they are not eating enough calories. You actually need calories to help burn calories. Do you use a heart rate monitor to calculate your calories burned?

How is your daily activity level? Do you have a job that is physical or sedentary?
    Little or no exercise
    Light Exercise/sports 1-3 days a week
    Moderate Exercise/sports 3-5 days a week
    Hard Exercise/sports 6-7 days a week
Very Hard Exercise/sports and a physical job

Once I hear back from you I will help you with a daily calorie intake and let you know what % carbs, protein, and fat has worked for many members in my groups. Are you in my Facebook group?

    Hi Ryan! Thanks!

I have a sedentary job. ( 2 hours sit in the car on the traffic and 8 hours sit at my office)

I exercise 3-5 days a week ( In the case of insanity I was doing just insanity). Right now meanwhile my chalean extreme package comes I am doing zumba, hip hop abs, kempo from P90X , kick bocking, or just jogging. I do use a heart rate monitor. I am eating 1,700 a 1,900 calories per day and I burn aprox 500 -700 calories ( net calories are 1,200-1,600 depending the day). I think that was the problem during insanity. I didnt have a HRM until the last 3 weeks of the program. I dont have any idea how many calories I will be burning with CX and I was wondering If it was good idea to add extra cardio to CX. Because of my schedule once I start Chalean I will just dedicating 1-2 hours to working out. In this case just chalean extreme and some cardio if it is recommended to. I dont have a lot of muscle from my weight ( 142 lbs) I have 95 lbs from muscle and I have just started working out on June and it was insanity.

    Hi.

You can add extra cardio if you want but be careful not to overdo it. Listen to your body so you do not get burned out. I have several members in my facebook groups who work out to Insanity every morning then do weight lifting and/or jogging in the evenings.

Your calorie intake seems to be okay. Did you lose any inches and body fat from working out? My last month of P90X I was at a plateau losing weight but I still lost over an inch of fat on my waist. Just because the scale weight goes down does not mean you are losing any weight. You are gaining muscle. I totally ignore the scale. It is very important to take before pictures and then take pictures each month. You should also take measurements. Measurements and photos are more accurate then a scale. You can have two different people of the same height and weight but have one body look great and the other look overweight.

For great results you should eliminate all soda pop, fast food, and processed foods from your meals if you have not done that yet. It has taken me since February to find out what % work for me for carbs, fat, and protein. I was constantly changing. I reduced my carbs to 110 to 150 max a day. My protein I take in about 125 to 175 a day depending on my workout. Fat I take in about 65 to 90 a day. I will go higher on fat if its good fat. I no longer do the %.

I am at 155 pounds now and that is my goal weight. I have been maintaining the same weight since June using the above. I eat 1900 to 2600 calories a day depending on my workout. I was using the 40/40/20 % prior to finding out what works for me.

I no longer use the 40 % carbs. That seemed to high for me and when I lowered it I started to lose weight and inches. It can be frustrating trying to find out what works for you since everybody is different and will burn calories differently. What works for one person may not work for another person. If you still are at a plateau then I would suggest buying an app that you wear daily and it will calculate how many calories your body is burning. My brother has Body Media with a band he wears around his bicep and its really awesome. It will track everything including your sleep. It will sync with your meals on MFP and even tell you how many more grams you need to eat of carbs, protein and fat that day. It is pretty neat and the most accurate way to really help you with your weight loss.
