I start a program with the hospital next month to hopefully help it (Just a CBT course with some food menu help) and I wanted to get a start on it- so that's what September is dedicated to!

That is a smart goal. (specific, measurable , attainable, realistic and timely) I know with myself if I set a goal to high I tend to get bummed out if I don’t reach it. I have every confidence in that you can attain your goal.

I would like to jump on board this challenge, too. I think it will be really helpful to have some extra focus during the oh-so-tasty holiday season!
    Goal: 168

    Thank you!

Challenging last few days. Out of town funeral on the weekend. LOTS of work stuff. Very expensive landscaping work is happening. Root canal this afternoon. Road trip for work tomorrow. Etc., Etc. I find myself free-fall carb snacking to cope with the low level anxiety. Realized yesterday how much I really need to work on the emotional eating side of things - it sideswipes me every time!

Thanks for letting me put that out there. On the plus side, my steps are beginning to feel like a (healthier) coping strategy as well. Will aim to eat mindfully today.

I am heading out to walk now for a few minutes before I plant myself at my work computer.

No problem, it's much more motivating to exceed your goal than to fail to meet it :)

Anytime some mentions eating to cope with anxiety it reminds me of this quote. It is true when you think about it. Hope things settle down for you.
