No gain!! I will take it. Today was the last 530am wake up call to schedule Disney dining reservations - until they open Goofy's Kitchen for Thanksgiving reservations of course (not yet available and we're watching daily). Unlike DisneyWorld, you can only book one day of reservations as they open 60 days out. And I had excessive amount of PTO that I didn't want to lose so I'm taking off every Friday through year end and extended my time off around Thanksgiving and Christmas (my buyer's closing appts may adjust but I'll make it happen). So tomorrow, I'm sleeping in. We're also gearing up for holiday decorations this weekend. Hubby's schedule is so insane between now and Thanksgiving that this weekend is the only weekend he's available to retrieve the Christmas decorations from storage so we are fully decorated and can have the house lit up beginning on Thanksgiving. We won't be decorating this weekend, just getting here to decorate full force Nov 11 and 18 take empty stuff back to storage We had to do this about 9 years ago as well when hubby had his hip replaced. We had the tree up, but covered with a sheet in October and I decorated it Thanksgiving night while he was still recovering. I have to have my holiday decorations up.

Yesterday was Sheesh's bday - Happy Birthday!! And hubby and I celebrated 37 years of wedded bliss :smiley:

    Lois, once again, we were posting at the same time! So I copied my post from the thread I started and I'll see if I can delete it since an hour has not gone by! And happy belated anniversary. Thirty-seven years is wonderful!

    Sorry for not getting back here yesterday to start the new thread. I actually forgot that it was the day to do that although I did weigh and the above weight is for the 27th. I'm grateful to still be holding my own.

    Lunch with my former walking buddy was enjoyable. She's a very nice person. I did not ask if she has addressed the issue that resulted in our pausing our daily walks. Because she did not mention it either, I assume that she has not. I don't plan to start walking frequently with her, but perhaps will do that occasionally. And perhaps the time will come when it will feel right to ask.

    Yesterday was one of those wonderful early fall days with sunshine and just cool enough that a hoodie felt good early in the day and late in the afternoon. Today is party cloudy and tomorrow the rain returns. So I do hope to get an outdoor walk in before evening. I had to abbreviate my walk yesterday because I got a late start and it got dark on me. The days are really getting shorter!

    I was looking at my fitbit dashboard and noticed that when I look at calories burned over the past 28 days, the first week showing, I broke 1700 one time, the second week two times, and the third week I did it three times. The fourth week showing is the week starting this past Monday and my goal is to hit four times. (The dashboard weeks run Monday through Sunday.) I've focused on steps or activity minutes for so long that it feels good to change things up and have a burn goal instead.

    Today is an odd Thursday for me. My class was cancelled because the other two instructors are both sick and they could not find another certified person to join me today. With our size of class, two is the absolute minimum to have on the floor, and three certified instructors are preferred. Both of the other instructors have some non-Covid respiratory virus. I'm going to try to do the routine on my own today. I did it last Sunday on my own so I'd have three days where I worked with weights, and I actually used heavier weights because I could focus on my own form instead of watching others. I'm sorry for the participants, though. I doubt many workout on their own.

    Hubby heard from the bodyshop yesterday and they hope to have the car back next week. Apparently one part has held up the works. He's chomping at the bit to know when he can make plans to go up to his cousin's place on the Lake in PA. That will also give me some time to just do what I want.

    Well, time to be productive. We got out early to hit the Amish Market that is open only on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning. The prices there are outrageous, but they have wonderful baked goods. Came home with a fresh apple pie, so I better get that burn way up above 1700!

    Looking forward to hearing what is going on with everyone.

    And before I forget, here are my 7-day averages for last week:

    Steps = 11,066
    Stairs = 17 floors (some I'm sure were hills)
    Kcals burned = 1,672

    Sarah - good news on the car repairs and AWESOME job at doing your workout on your own!!! That's pretty huge!! Like you, our temps have come down...hitting higher 90's over the weekend and mid 80's today. I was excited to see our overnight temps in the 70's. I almost opened the window overnight to get some fresh air in. Unfortunately, there is a large landfill fire that is causing the air to smell like cigarettes, so I 'm super happy that I didn't open them. I had groceries delivered this morning and I thought the smell was from my shopper, but then my Ring neighborhood was posting about the smell. Yep..not my shopper.

    Had a busy weekend. Started my 3 day weekends this week. Friday I dedicated a lot of time to scanning pictures from my step mom's collection. Two of my sisters may stop by in November on their way to my brother's for Thanksgiving and I'd like to return all of the photos to him when they come by. So that will be my focus on Fridays. I also discovered these moving/storage bags that were incredibly inexpensive so I have begun to pack mom's closet. It's so much easier to pack it away than to pack it up to donate. Hubby and I discussed delivering these to our family in San Diego and they can select items they might want and then forward the remainder to the family in the Philippines. So that decision has made it easier. I've packed four 60L bags so far and still have several to go. I'll take them to storage once they're all packed up. Hubby and I also hit storage and got out our Christmas tree and most of the decorations from the garage. The boxes are now stacked in the living room. I know - Halloween is just around the corner...but truly hubby has some work event every Saturday beginning this weekend until Nov 11. We need to decorate the weekend of the 11th as my sisters may be here on the 18th and I want all decorating done and ready to light up on Thanksgiving evening. And last night, since we'd done all of the heavy lifting on Saturday, I went for a walk before it got too dark. Got in 1.5miles...it got dark QUICK so I need to be sure I'm out the door by 5:30 or take a flashlight/headlamp with me.

    Sheesh - hoping your birthday celebration was incredible.
    Kelly - thinking of you and the kiddos. How is the cabin going???

    Busy workweek this week. Have a great week.
