Hi there! I am new here. Age 36. Married, no children. I've been an emotional/binge cycle eater my entire life. I also struggle from manic bi-polar disorder and PMDD + PCOS, so to say I am emotional is and understatement. I've tried every "diet" under the sun... except good ol' fashioned calorie counting. I am tired of spending money on diets so here I am- trying this & hoping less things to "track" other than just what I'm eating will help me not lose focus. I've figured out my staple foods/meals, but looking for some low calorie snacks to help me get through the last part of my afternoon at work- Please send any easy recommendations! Looking for pre-made/packaged stuff as I really hate cooking except for meals.

@blondage6458, Have you checked out mfpals recipe discovery section?… there’s different recipe options like high protein, post workout snacks, low cal, etc..

Some easy options I can think of are stuff like yogurt, jerky, cheese, nuts, fruits and veggies like apples grape’s cucumbers tiny tomatoes snap peas carrots, peanut butter, cottage cheese, almond butter, hard boiled eggs, protein chips, hummus, salsa, edamame, olives, rice cakes, cold leftover chicken, mini peppers (those can be stuffed with goodness or dipped into goodness). Maybe leave some leftovers from your meals and that can be a snack. The less processed and the less packaged is better in my opinion, cleaner, so to say. Just takes a bit of preparation, not necessarily cooking. Lots of these snacks can be low calorie when portion controlled. Focus on protein when possible to keep full, fat is good for when your feeling unsatisfied and snacky, carbs are good for when you need energy, I pick my snacks based on what my body needs at the time. 👍
