Well, there's been a good amount of eating out these days. Also, baking and my activity has been hit and miss. I had my trainer Monday, and won't have her again until January . . she's in Mexico for Christmas, lucky girl! I don't expect much "dieting" to happen over the next week or so, but I'll get some activity with grandkids here. I'll be careful with intake in order to not gain.

Sarah, I think your neighbor is lucky to have neighbors who look out for her and others, and can get ahold of family when needed. I hope she'll be okay. It's hard to have ill family at Christmas and the holidays. I know from experience. I hope your health is good over the holidays, and that you'll get in soon for the mammogram you need in January. I got everything all checked out this year . . including a workup on my heart (due to the device in it). My doctor recommended an ultrasound of my leg veins . . so I've scheduled that in January. I also saw my gastro due to increased heartburn lately. I'm taking a round of proton pump inhibitors, and am scheduled to wean off it soon and hope that I don't need in ongoing. It's helped, but I don't want to take it long term.

Lois, you've really been so busy with travel and house projects, along with Christmas. I wish I had your energy. I could not be taking on closets, etc right now. That will all have to wait until January. . . if then, lol! Safe travels with your upcoming trips. We should regroup and set new goals in January.

Kelly, glad you're still posting. . keep coming back. Your kids are lucky you're so devoted to them and their hockey, etc. Hopefully, you can carve out some time for yourself.

I'm sorry to be brief . . got so much to do still. I saw the baby yesterday . . wow, she is very sweet. Even her cry is sweet. She's gaining weight and doing well.

Enjoy your Christmas!

Just wanted to come on here quickly and say Happy Holidays to you all! I won't have a chance to post over Christmas, but I'll do my best to post during the first week of January. Merry Christmas!

Hi, everyone. I know we're all super busy as the holiday approaches, but I'm glad to see folks checking in. I think of everyone often and just have that sense of my SNS network being there, which is a good feeling. <3

I'm also rushing today. Lots of stuff going on and I still have a lot to do before we hit the road on Friday. We visited our neighbor at the hospital last night. She's going to be there a few more days while they try to figure out what is wrong. The first tests indicated bleeding and the loss of blood was what was making her so weak. But I'm not sure that they know the source yet. She said something about a fissure in her neck? But that didn't make a lot of sense to me. However, she's being well taken care of.

Like everyone else, I'm concerned about the impact of the holidays on my intake and activity. I know the first will go up and the second will go down. It's just the nature of being away from home and being away from my own kitchen. I agree that we need to circle the wagons in January and set some goals that we can help each other meet.

Got to run. I may be able to get back here tomorrow. Having to play that by ear. If I don't, Merry Christmas to you all. Enjoy your loved ones and be safe.

And here are my less than accurrate 7 days averages. I had fitbit syncing issues two days.

    Steps: 10,020
    Stairs: 15 flights
Kcals burned: 1,687 (I just don't make my 1,725 goal without that hills!)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We’ll I caught the crud that turned into bronchitis. Doc started me on antibiotics and the strong cough syrup at night. Along with the zinc and D3 I seem to be improving. Though my cough still is pretty intense at times. So my daughter and neighbor have decided I’m not to touch the food to make stew and manicotti. So I had to write down how to make it. A little of this a shake of that and hope it comes out yummy. Lol. I am complying. I will admit this did sideline me for a couple of days at the onset. After 2 days on antibiotics hubby noticed I wa moving and doing more each day. I do something then I rest. It seems to be working.

Hubby and I are still going to Cali on Tuesday. But haven’t decided if we’re still going to see his auntie before she travels or just take the van load of baby paraphernalia to our friends who will be new grandparents in May. Anyhow. Gotta run to start supervising the kitchen (after the Starbucks run of course)

Merry Christmas and happy New year to all of you. You are all special to me. I’ll check back possibly as driving to Cali. That’s when it will be calm. If hubby drives.
