Hello! I need some new friends! I need motivation from MFP!

I am doing the KETO diet (low carbs). I weight 164 now and would like to get down to 130. Any suggestions or tips?!

    If you just started keto, make sure you supplement sodium. You need 3-5 grams of sodium per day. Sustained low sodium will eventually also impact potassium. Between the two of them you'd have issues with fatigue, headaches, dizziness, muscle cramps, heart arrhythmia. Drink a cup of salty broth once a day.

    * Drink 12-16 (8) oz glasses of water a day.
    * Always have fat with your meal. Don't have pure protein (my rule of thumb is to have at least as many grams of fat as protein any time I eat).
    * Throw away anything that is low fat or fat free. Use the full fat versions.
    * Have cravings? Eat high fat foods.
    * Always have keto friendly items available so you aren't tempted (I carried cooked bacon in my purse for months).
    * Don't stress on calories your first few weeks. Just focus on getting eating high fat, low carb moderate protein. Once you are in ketosis, your cravings will be under control - then you can worry about where you are for calories.
