I started to remember when reading Sally Fallons Nourishing Traditions. She mentioned how water intake wasn't as big of a deal as the "health professionals" make it out to be. So I looked on marks daily apple, low & behold:

Getting enough water isn't rocket science. Much of our water intake used to come from food and then opportunistic sources in nature. We were not lugging jugs of water around. I drink when thirsty and I don't think about it otherwise. That's why I don't track it. I think people who are not eating healthy and drinking lots of caloric or artificially sweetened drinks probably have lost touch with the natural indicators of thirst. I did track when I first changed my lifestyle last year, but it was soon evident that I was able to trust my own body once I was eating properly.
Too bad Sally Fallon recently slammed Paleo on the WAPF website. I was not impressed since I consider Paleo, Primal, and WAPF similar paths to the same goal.
PS. Many MFPers subscribe to "filling up on water" instead of eating when hungry. Stupidest advice ever.0 -
ouch I didn't know WAPF slammed Paleo... that's just well... silly! I figured most paleo people know this about water by now, I'm still learning ( and still eating junk, lol). When the time is right for me I'll change0
