Yikes. Getting back on track for sure! That number made do a double take, and now I'm even more committed.
Sorry to be late to the board. Yesterday was an unbelievably busy day, and hubby hasn't felt well since about Sunday. We got back from Mexico on Friday night, and he started feeling yucky. I wondered if it was travel related, but by Monday it seemed like a bad cold. He went off to the downstairs bedroom and we started masking. Tuesday, he was no better, and he tested and was Covid positive,
I felt fine, but tested anyway later Tuesday evening, and was negative. I don't know how he could have Covid (for the second time) and I haven't yet gotten it (ever). We have the same vaccination history, we were together everywhere in Mexico and on the plane. But, anyway, I had to get to cancelling/rescheduling everything this week, and caring for him. He didn't think he needed Paxlovid this time. He seems better this morning. We're still masking, of course, and I will test again tonight. I still did online playdates, but we skipped family zoom last night.
I was surprised, and concerned to not see any posts here. I hope Sarah is feeling okay after her injury. Hopefully making some progress with PT.
Lois, that software sounds challenging to say the least. So many updates seems strange, like maybe the developers didn't anticipate all use issues, but waited to see where the problems arose and then updated? And that puts the fleshing out of the software development onto their users/customers . . . YOU. I don't know . . just my guess. But very frustrating. I hope you don't abandon your personal care, though. Your health is important too.
I'll check back tomorrow . . hopefully to read you everyone's posts.

Hi, all. Sorry that I did not get here yesterday. I thought I had a fairly free day and would have plenty of time in the afternoon to do that. But "thought" is the operative word. I was getting ready around lunchtime to go to the grocery store and run a few errands when Hubby asked me about my PT appointment. I told him "that's tomorrow," and he said, "not according to the calendar in the kitchen." So I checked and it was yesterday, and I had just a little time to get ready and get there. I did the shopping and errands afterwards and thought I'd still have time in the late afternoon, but before I even could get my coat off, I got a text from a friend who recently had knee replacement surgery and ended up with a sepsis infection. She needed someone to pick up some things she ordered for her hubby's birthday and bring them to her. Of course, I agreed to help, but that quick trip turned into a long one. First, the store had trouble finding her order, then it took them forever to bring it out to my car, and by then, the heavy rain predicted for the evening started early. So I found myself driving in the dark in the pouring rain and in traffic that was just unbelievable. When I got home, I had to jump in and fix dinner because hubby was working late. So by the time the dishes were cleared and I got a little time on the TM watching Survivor, I was done!
And I'm not doing that well, today. Just as I typed the paragraph above, I realized that I have not had my fitbit on all day.It gave me the "battery dead" signal during my class this morning, and so I put it on to charge when I got back around 11. And I forgot about it! And I would have gotten steps at class and when we went to order the flooring material. Oh well. At least we got the flooring materials ordered and we paid the advance fee on the labor. We still don't know a lot about the other costs and what our share will be. The insurance adjuster came yesterday, took some pictures, talked to our plumber and got copies of our estimates from them, and said he would go back and work things up. At first he said that even interior damage might not be covered if it was caused by a problem outside the structure. Then the plumber told him that there are four places where there are "bellies" under the pipes and that two of these are inside. So say a litte prayer that this will allow us to get at least a portion covered by the policy.
Lois, it's so nice that you have close friends who take care of each other. I'm glad you had that time to have your two buddies visit. And I don't think you should try to continue with an eating plan that causes you not to feel well. I really find using the MFP food diary to see if I'm getting the macros I need and don't go too far over my recommended kcals works best for me. But I'll confess that I almost never eat just the kcals that MFP says I should eat if I want to lost weight. I typically eat more than that but stay a little lower than the amount if says I can have when my kcals earned through activity are added. And I hope that the software is soon fully functional, and I hope your company appreciates all that you do.
Sheesh, I am so sorry that your hubby got sick after the trip, and I hope he gets well soon. My doctor avoids giving Paxlovid unless people are at high risk or have severe symptoms. She said sometimes it actually makes people feel worse. But on a happier note, your vacation sounds like so much fun, and thanks for posting the photos. You look really good in that bathing suit, my friend! Much better than I look in mine. I think I inherited some body characteristics and shapes that I just can't do much about!
Kelly, I'm glad you're back, too. Sounds like your brother's wedding went well and even if the resort was not as much fun as you had hoped, at least you got a break from the winter weather. I enjoyed the photos you posted.
Before I go, my physical therapy seems to be working. The pain is much reduced and the therapist told me yesterday that he could tell a big difference when he manipulated the muscles. I think I was very lucky to come out of that situation with just soft tissue and muscle injuries. Apparently, our muscles are good at protecting our organs by becoming very hard and immobile. That was a strange feeling that I won't forget for quite some time.
And now that we're all back home for a while, I guess we can start setting some goals and come up with plans of action. Now, I'm off to cook dinner early, as we're doing some volunteer work tonight. I need to think about something besides me and my problems!

Happy Friday! It hit me this morning that in my rush to finish my post yesterday, I forgot to post my 7-day averages for last week.
Steps = 10,495
Stairs = 10 floors
Kcals burned = 1,672
As I looked at these, I realized that since the weather got too cold to walk my hilly outdoor route, I seldom achieve my daily calories burned goal. That's set now at 1,725, and typically I'm about 75 kcals below that. I wonder what it would take to achieve it? It's disheartening at times to see how few calories us shorties burn. I looked at the one day last week where I actually exceeded my goal and little about it looks different except that I went from teaching my class to quickly getting dressed to go to a retirement party at noon. I did have to walk a short distance in the cold and wind to get to that party, because parking at that time of day is scarce where the reception was held. So is fast walking in the doggone cold the key? Am I willing to do that? I do hate cold wind.0
