Emphatically YES! Thank God for TOL, who really helps keep me from going too far. Also, for my FTF meetings. And..I hate to say it, but shame. I feel that I let myself and TOL down.
The cure, get back on the train.

I'm not sure boring is the right word. I'm not a person who craves tons of variety in their intake, but I do like a change once-in-a-while. My typical dinner meal is chicken, veggies, and potato. We "mix it up" by preparing the chicken in different ways, using different spices on the veggies, etc. It's not very exciting, but it gets the job done.

From a food side, in terms of selection, I don't have much problem. For me, it's mostly a breakdown in discipline - knowing what I need to do - but taking the easier, less healthy way out.

I’ve embraced boredom. Wish I’d done it sooner. Eating the same stuff a lot doesn’t bother me at all. I loved it when the subject of boredom would come up at meetings. I’d let it go on for awhile then raise my hand. When my tun came I’d say “Funny, but I never got bored eating pizza 5-6 times per week.” ML liked that. Always got people nodding in agreement.

Changing things up usually works for me. Not always the meals but sometimes I just break off a day or two then come back to what I know works for me.

It may be something I don't normally eat or it may be a break in the old routine. The main thing is making some type of change.

I don’t get bored with food. I have a mix of high and low point days on WW - sort of my own version of the Wendie plan. Although I tend to eat the same breakfast and lunch each day, it’s food I enjoy, and I’ve always got a reasonable alternative that make it a voluntary choice rather than discipline. I don’t know at this point what I’m having for dinner, but I’ll MTBC when I get there.

Exercise isn’t exciting, but I’ve transitioned from “I’ve gotta do this for my weight” to “I need to do this for my health and mobility”. That makes it more of an investment in the future than a punishment for my past.

I DO get bored with the reality that I have to make choices every day that consider my weight. It would be nice if I could eat what I wanted with no adverse impact to my health - but that’s not reality. So I tell myself that boredom or frustration is better than the pain and shame that came with my prior weight.
