Working on a new mindset

Hey y'all! I'm Rikki, 33 years old, returning user looking to really take control of my health and weight.

I'm practicing mindfulness and taking baby steps to build consistency and discipline, rather than charging full-force ahead and trying (and failing) to run off of motivation. That has never worked for me before, so I'm going in with a completely new mindset.

I have a lot of weight to lose -- at least 100 lbs -- but I'm not worried about losing weight fast. I want to lose weight (somewhat) slowly for health reasons and to avoid loose skin as much as possible, plus this is a lifestyle change for me rather than just a "diet".

I'm looking for accountibilibuddies, so feel free to add me if you want to help keep each other supported!

Hey Rikki, good luck. I'm not new to MFP but am new in the forums. I have similar weight loss goals as you.

    Hey Rikki,

You’ve got this! I've lost 104 lbs total so far, and the plan you laid out is essentially what I did to get here. Focusing on small, achievable goals each day helps build wins and confidence.

    Keep pushing forward!

    Best,
    Ken
