This article is detailed and may not be everyone's cup of bone broth, in which case you can just read the summary in the abstract at the beginning. Dietitians say that we need more protein as we age, especially so if we are in a weight-loss mode, so that we don't lose crucial muscle mass.

In my case (age 75), over a a six month period I gained 6 lbs of muscle, while doing strength training and eating about about a gram of protein per kilogram of body weight daily.

    Hmm - maybe I just commented in the protein powder thread. I’m gettin 100-120 grams per day on average, so I suspect I’m okay.
