C25K and skipping rest days.

Hello All,
I currently just finished W4D2 of my C25K program(doing zombie run C25K, so it’s a bit different week then the traditional version I think). I am feeling great, not sore and would like to run today also. What is everyone’s opinion on not taking a rest day. I have for the most part been always taking a rest day but I usually feel like I need it. Thanks for all of your opinions and comments(lol).

I was doing two runs together on weekends early on... but never more than 2. The thing is, even though we don't feel like we NEED the rest day our body is often recovering & doing repairs. I know you finished with insanity, is there something else that you can do on your off days to keep you moving but using your muscles in different ways? Lifting, swimming, even walking?
I know how hard it is to resist doing just one more.... but if you push too far too soon you may end up with a wrapped up foot and being stuck on at least a weeks rest like me. :grumble: As my Doc said yesterday (as I was whining about a whole week off), 'either you pay now or you pay later...'.0 -

Personally I don't think it's a good idea to skip the rest days.0 -
I've known people who skipped rest days in the early weeks. There's a risk of over use, you haven't learned the form you'll get with practice and rest, and I don't see the point in finishing 3 days earlier.0

I did week 4 day 1 of Zombies, Run. I did more walking than anything today. They call for a LOT of walking. Even with free form running.0

The point was not to finish any earlier. I was feeling pretty good, not sore and was looking forward to another run.0 -

I felt the same with the walking half way through I was wondering when am I going to run. But they are warming you up for the 15 min. free form run in week 4. So far the app is working for me. I know it is a bit different than the traditional C25K schedule.0
