Interesting read, as I every so slowly adjust to a new reality where I don’t ALWAYS feel like I want to eat or am ready to eat. I was thinking it was me, but maybe it’s my hormones?

Example? My wife and I were out at a late breakfast (Tucker's), and had agreed that meal was going to be both breakfast and lunch for us. I was partway through when, to my surprise, I realized I’d had enough to no longer be hungry. I told my wife, “I think I just finished breakfast; the rest of this meal is therefore lunch.” But hey, I was shocked that partway through a meal the thought could break through that I’d had enough food. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Uncharted territory.

There was a study of the effect of a diet high in ultraprocessed food on satiety and hunger hormones, leptin and ghrelin. In short, they went haywire. I try to eat mainly real food rather than Frankenfood, which is more like a chemistry experiment. Cheetos, anyone?

Very good article. I knew a lot of what was in it, but there were some new points for me. I like the fact they included a list of foods to help you feel fuller.

I still like crispy Cheetos. ;-)
