I wear swim trunks about four inches above the knee, and I wear a tee shirt. Apart from sparing people the view of all the ripples, wrinkles, and marks, it helps with sun protection. (Of course, i wear it indoor in the pool as well.)0

I had a bout of squamos skin cancer on my scalp last year. All good, now, and I get check-ups every six months. I have not been swimming since before that. But, if I go out in the wild, I wear a hat at all times and SPF protection an all exposed areas.
The problem is that all my damage was done 50 years ago when I was a lifeguard and outdoor skills instructor as a teen. It's all catching up with me, now.
Still, I take every precaution.0 -
I, too, had a squamous cell carcinoma on my scalp (2-3 years ago) and a basal cell carcinoma way back when. Thus, I really try to protect my skin.
I swim with regular trunks and a rashguard shirt. When I'm not in the water, I always wear a hat. If I'm at a beach or pool, I also put on the sunscreen.0
