I had to weigh in this morning with a big bandage on my toe so that has to account for a half pound, right? 😂 I dropped something on my toe several months ago and the damaged toenail was growing wonky so it had to be removed yesterday. It looks like it’s wearing a big Bozo nose! 😂
I only have one pair of shoes I can wear at the moment, so my walks will be curtailed for a bit. But-after checking in with my trainer, I still went to the gym and worked out this morning!
Go me!

Good Morning,
I have heard from quite a few people who are not happy with the changes that My Fitness Pal is doing. Is this because Google bought them out? or are they taking some stuff away like news feeds to bring in something better? I guess we wait and see. I hope we don't lose too many Pals along the way.

Sorry for ghosting the group. A couple weeks ago my mom called me to come help her since she was having some mobility issues, and my sister's were helping the best they could but were stretched thin. We were planning on moving her closer to my family next year, but given her medical issues and the condition of her house, we've moved it to to next month.
I've spent most of the last couple weeks cleaning and packing her house along with a lot of help from friends and family, as well as looking at potential apartments in senior communities for her.
Can I rejoin the group? It's still pretty crazy but I think I can still focus on being part of the group with everything going on.

My diet was terrible for part of the time at my mom's, mostly stress and emotional eating. However, seeing my mom, who's a diabetic, sugar addiction really had an affect on me. I still think the loss is mostly stress though. I was able to lift at a gym a couple times while I was there, though I've been sick this week and haven't gotten training in.

@bearchested I've requested they move you back to Jun active from the May drop list. Might take a day, but we'll get it done. Sorry for the issues your Mom is going through. I took care of my mom for the last 16 years of her life (lost her in 2011), so I know what a painful and yet, precious time it is. I'm so glad she has such a great family support system. Lean on each other. It's not easy, but build memories...it's so worth it.

@angmarie28 Is 6/5 supposed to be 11.057 or 12.057? I have to guess with the q in there.

Good morning Shape Shifters. Things still aren't going great here, but I am trying. On Wednesday I had a nice walk with my camera. I saw a couple of cool birds, though as usual, they were often pretty far away. I also came across a butterfly I had never seen before. I figured it was probably something boring, but no, it was a grizzled skipper and they are apparently pretty rare in the Netherlands. There is a website where you can document observations in nature and for this butterfly, they have even hidden user & location information. They do that to protect the species. I just wasn't expecting it for a butterfly. I also did my gym rings workout in the evening, though it was a struggle again. Now that I am typing this, I realise I totally forgot to do it yesterday which is dumb. I really need to pay more attention to my habits and goals because forgetting something that big shouldn't happen! I guess I will do it two days in a row now which is fine for once.
I also walked Thursday and Friday, though yesterday I had a bit of a late start. There was some rain going over my town in a long line so I had to wait it out. I did a lot of gaming, eventually got really bored and restless of staring at the screen and went for my walk around 16:00. As someone who hates heat and sun, the weather and temperature has been great; I have even been drinking tea again. As someone who loves photography, the lack of sun is really annoying. Most days it is not worth bringing my camera, but I would really like to take more pictures. It looks like the next two weeks won't get much better either, so we will see. I did take some nice pictures in the garden. I got two more waterbowls since the starlings in particular bathe a lot. They are just plastic trays that are meant to go under plant pots. They are really cheap and make awesome bird baths. I also got a bunch of peanut butter for the birds since it was on sale. However, as soon as the starlings discovered it, the jar was literally empty in like two hours so I will be rationing those! Maybe only put one out once a week. Feeding the birds is expensive enough already.
I have been really tired, headachy and forgetful the past few days. Last night I finally managed to go to bed early enough, so of course there was a party nearby. Even with my earplugs, the pounding of the beat kept me awake and it lasted until after 1:00 so that wasn't great. Happy Saturday everyone

I forgot to share the daily card yesterday. I had it all ready on my computer and never posted it! How silly. So today there will be two.
Card 1:You were born with a set of talents and gifts that are unique to you. There could be things that you excel at or that the people in your life turn to you for. Treasure and nurture those gifts. Offer one of your skills to a friend or family member that may benefit from them. It could be a good ear, a flair for creativity or an ability to advice without judgement. In turn you will receive the benefit of other people's gifts and talents when you need them.Card 2:4 -

So that was his strategy @jessicakrall8 but fair play to you @frankwbrown you put the steps in.🤣🤣🤣 laying horizontal in the sun was too tempting but I did get my first swim badge on Garmin.
