Food Tracking

Is it just me or is there an easier way to do this? I have about 4 pages of saved foods in my diary. When I eat something and get ready to track it, how am I supposed to remember how it is listed. For instance, broccoli. I look under the B's and it isn't there. Then I scroll to the V's thinking maybe it is listed as "Vegetable-Broccoli". Nope, not there either. Maybe F for Fresh? Oh, wait then I find it under G for "Generic - Broccoli Steamed" or some such crazy thing.

Same thing happens with a brand name. If I have pumpkin seeds or edamame for a snack, but I have it on my list as Trader Joe's pumpkin seeds or Sprouts Roasted Edamame. Does anyone have tips on how to make tracking easier and faster?

Thanks! Kristine

  • I was struggling with the same thing on my android app. My favorite thing to do is go to add foods, pick a meal, and your last meal will be at the top. The other thing I just discovered is that you can go to your daily summary. Click food, and your food list for that day will pop up. If you click on the little wrench on the left that is next to the meal title you will see have a choice to Edit, Remember meal, copy to meal today or copy meal to date. I like to remember meal, then you when you go to add and click on meal, on the meal tab your meal will be listed like you saved it. I am on the HCG diet and eat the same breakfast every morning. Strawberries w/stevia and my vitamins so I named it HCG breakfast and there it is at one easy click. Hope that helps a little. You can also get into you setting and add multi-add. Their help section online is fantastic. I will search how to do something and there it is. Today I learned how to add more measurements to track. I also learned how to add phone reminders to log my foods :)
