I started 2.5mg tirzepatide compound on May 28. At that time, I weighed 209lbs. This morning, I weighed 195lbs. 14 lbs weight loss in 2 weeks! I think it’s so much because I’ve cut out pepsi (I’d drink 3-4 a day), increased my water intake and cut down on my sodium. I’m eating around 1400-1500 calories a day and light activity. My knees are terrible so I’m taking it slow for now. I’ll start the 5mg on July 9 and will be interested in seeing if there is any difference noted. Right now, I’m not as suppressed in appetite as I initially was. I think my body is getting used to it. My goal is 140 or less, or whatever gets me to a healthy maintainable range. I haven’t been less than 160 since I was 16 (two decades ago!)

Something I found that has helped with constipation from the med is a warm cup on lemon juice first thing every morning. I’m not a regular person prior to the meds so that was one of my biggest worries, but the lemon water is working.

Anyone else on the tirzepatide compound and having success?

Are you still taking tirzepatide and how is it going? I’m starting tomorrow with 2.5mg. I was taking it last year with success but had to stop due to cost and I’m starting again to try to get to my goal.

I started on Monday with 2.5mg. Not experiencing "food noise" is amazing and perhaps the first thing I noticed. I've had a bit of tummy upset too and am experimenting with the best way to handle that. I promised myself that I'd only weigh once a week but I do feel like I'm less hungry and eating less.

How did you know when it was time to increase your dosage?

Welcome! Digestive enzymes are going to help you a lot with digestion issues. Constipation can be an issue. I take 5 psyllium fiber capsules and eat 4 prunes a day to combat.

As for when to go up in dose, when you stop losing. I followed the schedule: 2.5, 5, 7.5 & 10 mg. But only upped my dosage when I stopped losing for 2-3 weeks as long as there was no other reason for the stall like vacation or increased exercise. I was on each dose at least 2 months, some maybe longer. Having read the studies I knew 10 mg and 15 mg were the doses of greatest loss. But when I got to 10 mg I worried about maxing out so I started only increasing 1/2 mg when I stopped losing. I was shocked that 1/2 mg could get the scale moving again but it did. I’ve lost 65 lbs and have 50 more to goal. If I were to do it over again I would begin increasing 1/2 mg at 5 or 7.5 mg, because I am worried about maxing out my dose before I lose to goal. I’m at 11 mg (just started) now.
