Well, pretty much the same old ballpark, but one day this week I actually saw 129.4 and one day 129.8, so it's fluctuating, but fluctuating a little lower than week before last. I've done better with sugar this week, but need to remember that sugar is hiding in more than cookies, ice cream, or chocolate. I grabbed some potato salad in the deli for a night when we had little time to prepare food and noticed later that it had a very high sugar content.
Currently, I'm waiting on a call from my doctor's office. They called me twice while I was in class yesterday and didn't leave a message. So I'm pretty sure that they were just letting me know that they're still checking to see if there's been a cancellation at the imaging center, but I called just to check. And they said they'd call me back in few minutes (about 45 minutes ago!). I think every medical office in our area is overworked and understaffed, even those that have gone concierge.
We got a couple of days break from the heat and I was able to get in a couple of outside walks, but the heat and humidity has returned. It's going to be just miserable for the next few days. We have friends coming for dinner on Friday, and we'll not be able to eat outside. Most years we have gone up to Frederick for fireworks because a good friend of ours works for the city and could get us on top of a building near the park so we didn't have to get in the crowd and we had a bird's eye view. But this year, the city has said that that is no longer allowed. So rather than get out in traffic to sit in the heat, we're going to lay low and just meet up with a handful of friends down here in the early evening and then get home around dark. I hope people around here will not shoot off fireworks late into the night. It scares poor dogs to death, and I'm always worried about someone starting a fire. Mentioning dogs, we are pet sitting Friday through Sunday for some of our neighbors, so hot or not, I will be taking a few walks with Scrappy!
Sheesh, I hope that you are having a fabulous time and that your hubby's pain has been minimal. Lois, everytime I say "hot," I remember that you deal with temps far hotter than mine. My friend in Palm Desert called this morning and said they have been asked to switch electric cars back to the gas option because of their temps and all the A/C requirements straining the system.
I'll end with a wish that everyone has a safe and happy July 4. Kelly, you are missed!

I'm so sorry I have been MIA. I'm headed off to the cabin for the next week and a bit. If I have some time, I'll try get on and read everyone's posts and post something too from my iPad.
A quick note, my Brother wrote a book! I wanted to share the link as I feel it's appropriate for this group and very much so applies. Here's the link to it on Amazon!
