Hello, I'm on week 2 of Mounjaro 2.5 dose. I lost 4.5 lbs in my first week. I just started myfitnesspal today so I can start tracking what I'm putting into my body. I'm a huge snacker out of boredom. Lots of cravings. My cravings were much better this past week so I hope that continues. I still snacked some, but not nearly as much as I normally would. I have about 30-35lbs to lose (in my mind). The charts say more like 50 but I'm not comfortable with that. I just realized that the bread I eat for breakfast is loaded with carbs. I think I'm going to be obsessed with this. lol

I start my first 2.5 MJ injection today. Moved the tracking onto the laptop for easier entry than on my phone. My earliest entry on this site was a little over 10 years ago but I have trouble tracking food. I too snack when I'm bored so wanting to try to do better. I was on Trulicity but came off it and my metFormin this summer when doing very strict diet. As my sugars started going back up, I tried the 3 mg Trulicity but it made me nauseous. My doc said lower doses might be harder to find so wanted to switch me to MJ. I don't need to lose that much weight but really need my A1C down.

Hello, I have my first prescription to collect with plan to start on Friday.
I'm staying on Metformin, which surprised me, is anyone else taking additional meds?
My last HbA1c was 81 and this morning's finger test was 15.

Any words of advice for the first few days?

Drinking enough water and including enough fiber is key to reducing side effects and promoting healthy weight loss on this medication. I am on compounded Tirzepatide because my insurance won't pay for the name brand. This medication is worth every penny because I have dropped 30 pounds in 90 days and glucose is within normal range again. Still got some way to go to get the lipids where they should be but they have be steadily trending in the right direction.
