Yes, the nights have been great for sleeping with it cooling down mostly into the 50's here in MN. Last few days the daily highs have been around 65*-75*. That was very welcome! Actually felt like September. Now our 10-day forecast shows we're in for more August weather with highs every single day around 80-83*. A little warm for us, but it should still be fairly comfortable at night. Oh, you better believe we're still going to have the A/C on though.

@CPANUS - I sure hope it's getting cooler there, Chris! I think I heard somewhere recently that you've been hitting the 100*'s again! Yuck! Hopefully some cooler breezes will come in off of the ocean, preferably from the north!

@CLEPANT - Glad to hear the surgery recovery is going well!
@JANET - Doing okay over here on this side! Things in our household are relatively quiet except for my wife getting really, really tired of her heel taking so long to stop hurting. Things are heating up and getting messier with her sister's scorched earth divorce. My wife told her to be careful not to piss him off. He wasn't going to get a lawyer at first, but now he has one. And even though he is the one that screwed up and caused the situation to begin with, he is on the warpath. So unnecessary and uncalled for. He has no moral ground to stand on but he's acting like he's the victim now. *major eyeroll*

I'm at 26/50.
@clepant - wait, Brinkley had surgery? How did I miss that. Today my male puppy decided to eat deer poop while we were training them on the local sports field. He's been vomiting all day. Sad puppy.
@darkrider42 - oh what a mess. I get how hard it would be to treat your ex civilly but if you can summon the strength it seems it would be worth the effort. I can only imagine the ex is hearing from lots of his "friends" how he needs to stand up for himself and how she's the one who is blowing things up. A guy friend of mine also told me that men who cheat on their wives are so desperate to appear that they have done nothing wrong that they will be really nice to everyone except the woman they hurt. Sounds like he's drinking a big swig of self delusion.1 -

@Dave: Yikes! I am so sorry for you dealing with that mess. Sounds horrid.
@Janet: Dogs and poo…sound like my guy.Rabbit, deer, goose, it’s all gourmet to him. So sorry you have a sick pup. Maybe he will never go need again.
Brinkley was neutered and had gastropexy surgery. He is a tall boy with a deep chest and I have had three dogs with GDV. So we had it while he was snipped. And yes he is older, but I wanted to make sure his muscles were developed which usually occurs during year two. Many lab breeders recommend waiting till 18-24 months while the UCLA Davis report recommends all dogs over 44 pounds wait until one year. Ohio State recommends labs wait longer. Just have to control the energy. He is on Trazadon. Pain meds finished today.

@willnevergiveup: Welcome to our group. Always happy to have new folks join. I am 70 3/4 years. I am a retireed health and physical education teacher and have been with this group since joining MyFitnessPal years ago. I used to run until tearing both my lateral meniscus and having surgery on one. It never healed as good as the non surgical knee and so to sustain it, I walk, bike and swim in the winter, I only monitor my walking miles on here.

@JANET - Sorry to hear your pup has been sick! Dogs sure do try to eat anything and everything in their path even to their detriment sometimes! You'd THINK some things would be obvious not to eat...
@WILLNEVERGIVEUP - Yes, WELCOME! Great to have you here! Hint: It helps to bookmark the page that lists all of the monthly conversation threads so it's easy to find this one (and future ones) again. The majority here skew a little to the "mature" side, but we welcome everyone.
This group has been around the block a few times as well. Many of us have been here for YEARS and YEARS. I think I started in 2013 while someone else was running it. At some point shortly after, I started helping with the updating of the tracking spreadsheet. Then a couple of years later, the founder of the group, @Dinos, was too busy with life to keep it going and then primary spreadsheet duties rolled over to me with the help of Janet (@JTH11706) and a couple of other folks over the years. We used to have a ton more people, but the core diehards have stuck around will stay as long as it exists. I'm 62 years old and used to run, bike, and weightlift a lot, but health issues and surgeries have changed that to walking, biking (recumbent stationary), and light handweights.
It's a good friendly group and we like to share. So if you have any questions, stories, challenges to share, feel free to post it and someone will chip in and offer advice, encouragement, whatever it is you need.
