Argh. . . lots of movement, not enough dieting. . as usual.

Oh my goodness Lois, don't let them overwork your leg. But, I'm very proud of you going up in weights and most of all, sticking with the PT. You know this is what is going to get your mojo back ;) Hope hubby's eye clears with the medication.

Sarah is still at her sister's. I hope she's getting some kind of movement.

Kelly is being mama and cabin owner, lol. Check in soon :)

I'm doing okay . . very busy. But, had trainer Monday, played golf (9 holes) Tuesday, had golf instruction (putting lesson . . I want a new putter, lol) today. Will have playdates later this afternoon, tending my almost 3 yo granddaughter and almost 9 month old granddaughter tonight so they can go to a concert, then MAYBE we'll have family zoom tonight with them here :) Trainer again tomorrow morning. No wonder I'm sore and taking ibuprofen :D

Going to try to post a photo of 3 yo

Oh my goodness - she's ADORABLE!!!

I am so impressed by your movement!! I'm wrapping up work in the next hour and then focusing on laundry and then final pack. Tomorrow's pretty busy too before we head out. But then we'll be at the House of Mouse and enjoying time with our granddaughter. I'm allowed to post a pic or two of her.

My friend will be here tomorrow to help clean the house as well before we leave, so we'll be able to come home to a clean home. The Chef is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 9. I wanted her for next week, but I am going to be so crazy on Tuesday and Wednesday I have to be in the main office. Hubby isn't comfy with leaving the chef alone yet, we've only had her here twice so it takes a bit to get him to be comfortable. I'll figure out some DoorDash options.

So this trip and change of lifestyle did cause a considerable move in the wrong direction! Honestly, I think it was more diet than lack of movement. Although it was a little tough to do, I did manage to walk most days. In the hotel, there was a treadmill and at my sister's, I took advantage of a nice neighborhood located behind their property that has little traffic and a lot of people out dog walking in the early evenings. I seldom made 10K, but I tried to hit at least somewhere between 7K and 8K. So my steps for Wednesday through Tuesday (7-day average of 9,360) and my average kcals burned (1,610) were lower than they had been for a while, but not absolutely terrible. I think the fact that the scale is up has more to do with how I ate. First, I did not try to log food. Second, because my diverticulitis flared up, I ate differently. Although I did not go on the clear liquids that they typically advise, I did avoid things like raw vegetables (so no salads), fruits with skins, and even cooked vegetables with peels or lot of roughage. And I skipped red meats and ate more pasta than I normally eat. And I ate some sweet things that I normally don't indulge in, and I know I drank less water. So all in all, my diet was just off. :s But I hope to get most of this extra 2 pounds off in the next week or two. Tomorrow, I'm seeing my PCP for a thyroid refill and I'll see if she thinks I'm okay with the colon or if I need another run of the antibiotics. I sure hope not since they make you hypersensitive to sunlight, and I'd love to get a chance to get to the pool to catch up with my friends and neighbors there. We'll see.

Lois, it sounds like you're on a good upward trend with the healing of your foot and leg and the foods prepared by the home chef. I definitely think you're heading in a better direction and as Sheesh said, you will get some of that old mojo back!

Sheesh, I'm glad to you had a good time while your hubby was fishing. My hubby's hunting trips will be coming up before long, and I'm almost looking forward to some time alone to get together with girlfriends and just have some time to do things here in the house that I don't tackle when he's underfoot and working from home. And your granddaughter is adorable. I love her eyes! You are so lucky to have such wonderful kids and grands and I'm sure they consider themselves lucky to have you.

It's hard to get back to normal after being gone for a week, and we have not yet made any plans yet for the holiday weekend coming up. Lois, I hope your trip to Disney is everything you want it to be. I don't think Canadians observe Labor Day, but I'm sure Kelly is trying to get all the time in that she can up at their cabin while the weather is still warm.

Well, I have some things to catch up on here, so need to log off. Seems like there's always lots to do as we approach the last quarter of the year. 2024 just flew by! Will check back soon.
