Does having a miscarriage trigger getting hypothyroidism

I was just wondering if having a miscarriage can trigger hypothyroidism cause back in 2018 I unfortunately had a miscarriage and right after I went to my doctor and he was was a checkup and felt my neck and said it was swollen he sent me for bloodwork and it came back I had hypothyroidism which I’ve never had before I don’t know exactly what could have triggered it if anybody can help me I would appreciate it

Mine was triggered by pregnancy, although baby went full term. This is not uncommon.0
