Good morning!
Sounds like you had a great Labor Day weekend @KateNkognito with lots of sleeping in and rest! Mine was nice too! The rain kept away for the most part. We went to a friend's house on Sunday and that worked out because the drizzle stopped right as the get together started and the rest of the day was fabulous!
Yesterday was a catch up day. We took a walk at the track and then got the laundry done for the week. We are so routine driven, it is funny. LOL
Thanks for starting the new September thread! I totally forgot to even check in. On the weekends when I am away from my computer, I am in a different world. LOL
Traffic was a little heavier today since most folks are back at school and work here. At least I was on time!
Sunny and cooler here this week. I like it!!

Today was a Monday of a Tuesday! BUT I found out that the part of the state records that I have been working on is almost cleared because others have processed a big chunk of it already! Woo hoo! AND when I got home, my new acrylic nail sets were here! 💅🏻 AND I used my adult money to buy my 17 YO and I Squishmallows. (I regret nothing) So, overall, today was a win.
@Meghan509 I, too, ama creature of habit. I did laundry and curled my hair on Sunday because it was Sunday. LOL Glad you had a nice get together. 😊

For my nails I get Red Aspen. A friend of mine became a seller for them and got me hooked. If I apply them right, they last about 2 weeks. I can also do it so they just last a few days, if I want to change them out. And they are reusable, too. Currently wearing these:

The next week and a half are going to be super busy. If I miss a day or two, forgive me. Two cross country meets for my son and my step dad is having a knee replacement. And a bunch of other smaller things.
In weight loss news, I finally broke my plateau! 🎉 I don't know why, but I am suddenly not very hungry and feeling pretty good. 😊

So cute @KateNkognito! Also, love those nails! I heard good things about the nails they make these days, vs. the crap we used to use in the 80's. LOL Beautiful color! My friend here at work does powder nails and they last a good two to three weeks but it does involve a nail salon appointment and I don't really want to commit to that and the expense at the moment. What I need to do is make a better effort to paint my finger nails more often. I am good with toe nails but not fingers!

I am planning to weigh in tomorrow and fingers crossed. I do feel smaller which is good so even if it is a quiet week for the scale, I have to keep big picture in mind!
Work is busy but still not crazy. I have had so many labor day weeks where it is crazy after. Pleasantly surprised. Preparing for a big meeting the week after next so next week is editing and printing PPTs. Positive copy vibes being sent to our copier. LOL

Hope your day is going well. Just got back from a quick trip to CVS to get my flu and shingles shots. I also scheduled a COVID booster for two weeks time. I typically do these in December but wanted to jump on it so they are all wrapped up before our Caribbean vacation in mid October.
Work is busy but good. Next week might be a little crazy because I am preparing PowerPoint presentations for a meeting the week after. Positive printer vibes!
I am down .6 pounds this week and I am cool with that. I do feel smaller and my pants feel a little looser. Tonight we will head to our local track to do our walk.
I have a hair appointment on Sunday mid day otherwise not much else happening here this weekend. Low key almost fall weekend. Really pretty weather here. Cooler and sunny.

After the cross country meet, I was all stuffy and congested and brain dead Friday. I dragged through the day and came home and was asleep by 7. I feel a LOT better today! Ran all my errands today. I am packing for the trip to my parents' house Monday after work. My stepdad's knee replacement is Tuesday. I'll be back home Wednesday evening. At work, about half of everyone will be gone all or part of next week for all sorts of things. It's funny how that happens sometimes.
@Meghan509 Enjoy your hair appointment! And good luck with the printer! Maybe if you talk really nicely to it and feed it some high quality paper? 😄

Hair appointment went well! Feeling blonder again. LOL at the printer. Good idea!
Weekend was nice. Quiet but productive. Saturday was rainy and yesterday was nice.
Today we have a volunteer event at work so I will leave home midday to meet up with the caterer and then we clean up around the beach / shore.
Looking forward to it. Wearing a sweatshirt at the moment because it feels COOL! Yikes.
Week should be nice and sunny and no humidity. I like it!

Today has, thankfully, been pretty good. Got all packed up and everything is in my car so I can head out after work.
Weather is supposed to be lovely this week. Mid 80s! So nice!

The beach clean up was a lot of fun! I will see if I can log back on via mobile and share a few pictures with you! We had one of those perfect days with sunshine and low humidity and just pretty fall like weather. Same weather planned for the week. I am wearing one of my summery dresses with a sweater and sandals - got to wear them while I can!
Yesterday we finished the team building at around 4:00pm, so when I got home BF and I decided to go for a walk around the track. We did two miles and by the time it clicked off that it was two miles I had to sit down. My legs were shot! I looked at my watch and saw how many steps I had - came in at 13,123 for the day. Wow! Hoping that will assist with my weight loss efforts. LOL
Good luck today with your Step Dad's surgery! I hope everything goes well. My Mom had a knee replaced last October and she is a new woman as a result. Mom's had both knees done (one of them twice) and both hips done. Another reason why I need to focus on health. Osteoarthritis is no joke sigh...

We got him home and settled in, but he still can't get comfortable to sleep. Hopefully, after he settles in a bit more, he can get some rest tonight. I am wiped out. I don't sleep well away from home. Have a lovely rest of the week!1

Thanks, yep crazy amount of steps the other day but the good thing was I still felt fine the next day. That is progress! No tiredness or achiness, etc. All good!
Yesterday was a crazy day with printing out those silly binders! Of course the printer here on my floor was STILL acting up so I had to print upstairs again. But, my colleague helped me out by sending half of the documents to her printer! Less for me to print and stress about which was a life saver and a time saver. I had everything done by 2:00pm yesterday afternoon. Grateful. So with all that chaos I was at 5,000 steps yesterday! Not bad. Typically don't get a lot of steps during the work week unless we take a walk.
Work is busy but good. Catch up day today.

Busy Friday AM here! But, all good. One of the ladies I work with who is kind of like a second manager has announced her retirement. Happy for her but feeling sad that we won't be working together any more, once she leaves. Sigh... Been busy ordering cakes, cards, flowers, decorations, etc. so we can have a nice little party for her on Wednesday next week.
I am down a pound and change today which brings me to a total of ten pounds on the dot, since we started this a few weeks back. Feeling good and happy! Definitely feeling less inflammation and joint pain in my knees. That was rough. They say menopause brings that on. Fun, fun, fun! Eleven months and no TOM, so if I get to the end of October then I am officially in menopause. Crazy...
Sitting here at home today but feeling cool, jeez! Need a sweatshirt! LOL Sunny and mid-70's today. Typical pretty fall day happening.

I made it through the week! My stepdad is doing well. He has had PT a couple of times now and is able to *slowly* get where he needs to go in the house.
@Meghan509 Well done on your loss! And the steps, too! Glad you got your printing done and that you had help. I know what you mean about someone retiring. Especially when they are a nice person to work with.
On a weight loss note: because my mother is a terrible cook and I didn't want to bother her anyway, I got some fantastic fast in this week. I also looked at my overall progress and I am down 12 pounds in the last year. I didn't realize I had done that well. I have also gotten almost back to my recent low. I hit a bump in the road at the end of last school year and the beginning of summer. I am back on track now.
Busy weekend ahead, but lots of sleep planned, too. 😊0 -

Doing pretty good here. Had a nice weekend. Weather has been really nice. Saturday was low key. For Sunday BF and I went to an 80's concert last night up at a casino near us. Which means we got home LATE and I am kind of tired today! LOL We had a lot of fun. We scored free tickets and enjoyed it a lot. No regrets!
Not much else going on there other than work I should be doing.

Hope your week is going well @KateNkognito! Today was one of my worst commutes in a long time. Took me a good hour to go TEN miles to work today. I got off the highway since it was NOT moving and ended up taking backroads which everybody else was taking as well. Even my off the beaten path backroads, yep those were busy too. Sigh...
Feeling a little frazzled but not going to let it derail my day.

Whoops! I totally missed yesterday! I can barely keep track of what day of the week it is and it is only Tuesday (I think).
@Meghan509 Don't you just love those trainings!? 😫 Bad traffic must be going around. A light on the highway was malfunctioning (flashing red in all directions) the other day. It took me an extra 15 minutes to get to work.

I know what you mean, about what day it is @KateNkognito! Since I was in the office on Monday vs. remote I am all screwed up! Feels like it should be Thursday but yet it is Wednesday. Sigh... Hope you had a nice night and got some rest.
Today's commute was back to normal AMEN! And work is work but I feel like I am finally starting to catch up a little bit. One day at a time!
This afternoon we have a retirement party for our colleague and I think it should be nice.

Today is like the third Monday this week! Tomorrow I am taking a half day in the morning to go to my son's cross country meet. They changed the time because it is supposed to be super hot and humid in the afternoon. The kids are hoping to have a good race because this is usually the hottest meet of the year. But it is an hour from work, so I will have plenty of drive time to myself tomorrow!

The retirement party was a success! Thanks @KateNkognito yes you are right about a happy/sad event. Happy for her and sad for us! LOL Luckily we came away with no tears. Today when I have to say goodbye to her, I am hoping for the best!
Enjoy your half day and cross country meet! Our weather has been pretty consistently good for the last few weeks. Very little rain and just a little bit of humidity but since I tend to be inside all day I don't feel it. No need for air conditioning on or anything which is nice. Same for today. Looking like that storm heading up the east coast will go north of us and we should have a good couple of days and nice weekend. No plans here for the weekend which is fine by me. This week has been a bunch of Mondays in a row, as you said! LOL

Just another manic Monday. I am SO GLAD tomorrow is FRIDAY! I need a weekend so much!
The meet wasn't great, but not too bad. It is a tough course. Also, my child lost his fitness tracker. However, a random (super cute) girl asked him for his number as he was getting on the bus. So we'll call it a win! 😊

Going to hit the grocery store mid day today. I am down 1.4 lbs this week and am feeling good. Funny thing is on Wednesday I wore a dress I have been wearing all summer, but this time I got TONS of compliments on it?! Who knew. I think it is because of my little weight loss and it is definitely loser in the chest area.

Forgot to mention something that has been frustrating me...
When my colleague who is retiring left our office for the last time yesterday (she's working remotely until her last day on 9/30) she left without saying good bye.
I was at my desk, in my cube, that is right outside of her office. Not like she didn't see me or hear me sitting there on the other side of the cube wall sigh... I am feeling hurt over it but I guess that is kind of how she is and her personality. Sometimes she was a little cold or awkward and guarded. Either way, kind of stinks. Maybe she didn't want to get teary? Which could be it, but either way I am bummed. Let me know your thoughts on this. She was not my direct manager but we worked together for almost ten years with me supporting her and being her right hand woman at all the meetings and events that I have helped her plan. Trying not to let it get to me, but yeah it is. 0 -
@Meghan509 I bet that she is someone who isn't comfortable with big emotions and wanted to avoid it altogether. Or maybe it didn't really hit her that it was her "last day". She also may be planning on coming back again, one last time. Or maybe she didn't want to bother you. A couple of years ago the teacher across the hall retired and didn't tell anyone. She packed up on the last day and slid out the back door. I saw her later and she said she just didn't want to have all the emotional stuff. That's how some people deal with things. I hope this helps!1

We had a nice weekend. Relaxing for the majority. Nice weather too. Got a walk in yesterday which was nice. Looking forward to what should be a good week where not too many people should be bothering me since they are traveling.

Plugging away here at the office. Commute was not too bad which is nice. It also seems a lot of people are traveling this week which means they are not here in the office bugging me. LOL
The weather is definitely changing here. I have hung up the open toed shoes for now and have put on closed toe flats. Been wearing a lot more sweaters lately. Probably will do the official closet switch over in the next week or so. Just need to keep summer stuff out for our trip in October.

My jeans feel a little better today. I had not worn them since before the summer so who knows how tight they would have been!
Busy but good here. Getting stuff done which is good! Office seems quiet. I like it. So glad tomorrow is FRIDAY!!
Rainy and overcast here but fun fact is we really have not had much rain at all during September.
BF's brother and family are coming to town (from Arizona) and they want to come to our place on Sunday. We moved to our current place back in late February of 2021 and we have mentioned it over the years, but they never came. Now is the time. Excited for them to see our place.
