I'm up 1.4 lbs this week. I've got to get a grip on this. I've gained and lost the same 5-6 lbs since January.0

Hey Friday Weighers!
Did you miss me? 😁
I'm up exactly 1 pound in four weeks of not weighing. My father had a fall then a hospital stay, and I've been out of town caring for him. I stayed somewhat mindful while I was gone, but I didn't make any progress toward my weight and health goals. I definitely got too little sleep and feel a bit beaten up, but I'm home now and ready to get back at it.2 -
Up 0.8#. Like Derrick, I need to get a grip.1

Down 0.8 pounds this week. Guess I passed them over to Al. Sorry about that. 😋3

Emmie - up a pound in that situation, while not directionally what you want, is still a win in my book. 👍🏻
The prior week was interesting, because my weight was up after an event right before my weigh-in. As a result, my official weight was in my Red Zone even though my 14 day average was within the Green Zone. Therefore, ergo, ibid, and op cit, I invoked my Red Zone plan of eating only my daily points (no weeklies, activity, or roll-overs) until I weighed in below Red.
So I’m laughing to myself because after following my Red Zone plan, this week I weighed in within the Green Zone - exactly the inverse of last week - but because of that blip and the fact that it doesn’t shed as fast as it used to, my fourteen day average is (just) in the Red Zone! Of course, that's the lesser of two evils. When the official weigh-in is Red, then my dining plan is Red no matter the average. If the official weigh-in is Green but the 14 day is higher, then I average the two. That means I’m currently on the Yellow Zone plan until the fourteen is back in Green. (Yellow is WW's former Healthy Eating Range of not more than ten points over my dailies on any given day, so it’s a bit more flexible.)
But this all means I need to start drilling down on the nooks and crannies of my choices and actions. Why? Because I need to know whether the fact that the blips don’t shed as fast is a function of behavior or physiology. I’ve got a hunch its behavior, just because it seems to have happened fairly quickly. (And just to put numbers around this, the blip “last week was 9.8# from one week to the next, and the drop this week was 6.6#.)1
