Up 0.4# this week. Bouncing around. About half due to sodium and the other just plain overeating.

Still in my Green Zone at my official studio weigh-in Thursday night, and still in the Yellow Zone for my fourteen day daily average - so I’m sticking with my Yellow Zone eating plan of not more than ten weekly points used on any given day.

    In related news . . .

I may have discovered a new weight loss phenomena. I’m calling it “eating momentum”. It’s that situation where you start eating, and even though you know you’re not hungry, you just seem to keep eating and eating. Anyone? 😉

I'm on week #1 of what will be at least a six-week experiment of focusing solely on having good eating habits and religiously tracking my intake. I had a good week from an intake and tracking standpoint. I also limited junk food to the 300-500 calorie range I set. It became obvious that mindless snacking had become a problem, as I repeatedly had to tell myself either, "You can't have that" (the junk food limit) or "You don't have enough calories left for that" (daily consumption target.) I didn't eat enough vegetables, so that still needs work.

I mentioned that I like data. At a minimum, I'm going to keep a log of my weekly range of calories, daily average and median. I considered reporting all of that here, but decided not to bore you. 😁I may go to a WW center and get a weigh-in every four weeks but ask them not to tell me the weight. (I don't have the app installed, so no chance to cheat and peek at my weight.) I think I'll regret not having at least a monthly data point once the experiment is over.

I'm still feeling good about this decision. It was not hard to ignore the scale this morning even though I feel I earned a loss. I have a lot of travel plans the next couple of months, so snacking and alcohol will need to be managed.

    Have a great weekend!

Down 0.2 Trust the process, but verify.
