How often do you have something you consider an indulgence? Are there degrees of indulgence, and does the timing vary by degree?

Nearly every day I have an ice cream treat in the evening. An earlier treat, say office birthday cake could knock out the ice cream when I went to an office. It’s not a degree thing but I try to limit my indulgences to absolutely no more than 2. Pizza for dinner doesn’t cancel ice cream. But pizza for dinner is pretty rare.

Indulgences make 'Living the Lifestyle' livable. I'm not one of those persons who can forswear delicious food entirely. I can't even fast successfully unless I'm asleep. My wife and I usually split a daily chocolate chip cookie after dinner. There's a Crepes shop that we occasionally stop at and split a savory and sweet crepe between us. Also, a Greek restaurant nearby has incredibly delicious desserts that we again split. I try to be reasonable and keep my average saturated fat and calorie intake within prescribed limits for the week even if one day goes over the limit.2

I agree completely.
Like George, I gave an ice cream treat every evening. It’s a small thing, and it’s part of my daily plan for points.
I’ll indulge in other things like carrot cake, but it’s rare, and I’m fussy about it. (It’s gotta be really good.) it’s usually not planned, either in actual consumption or in points, but I just deal with the consequences.
So for me, the larger the indulgence, the less frequent it is.2 -
I do indulgences. Probably too many. Some, like ice cream or cheesecake, I only do when I am out. My wife makes me the occasional apple pie, which I love - especially since they are our own apples. :-)2

I've always made room for indulgences unless I'm trying to be really strict for a couple of weeks to get rid of sugar cravings. Sometimes I cut them out completely at the beginning of a new year after over-indulging during the holidays.
Currently, I'm trying to limit junk food to 300-500 calories per week including alcohol. I was out of town for a funeral this past weekend and blew through that threshold. I think I can still salvage the week, though. Alcohol was a bigger culprit than snack food. I wouldn't really change much about the weekend except maybe WHAT I drank versus how much. The extra calories from the special cocktails weren't really worth it compared to my normal vodka soda.2 -
Lately and I've been I've the top and have an extra 10 lbs or so to show for it. I do indulge but I have to really keep it to a minimum or else I blow ul like a balloon.
I love ice cream, cake, and chocolate bars. I get into the chocolate bars when I'm stressed over something. DW keeps them in the house but she can have them everyday and not gain but not I. Anyway indulges right now for me have to stop.1
