I'm on week #2 of my not weighing experiment. I think things are still going well despite having a more challenging week from an eating standpoint. I was out of town for several days for a funeral, and between planes, trains and automobiles and hotel stays, there was a lot of restaurant eating and eating at strange times. I tracked everything. There was way more alcohol than I normally drink. I blew my self-imposed budget of 300-500 calories per week for junk food/alcohol. I'm aiming to eat between 1200-1300 calories per day, and my daily average will be just above 1300 this week. I'm okay with that given the circumstances. I was aware of the majority of my choices as I was making them.

I think I earned a loss this week. At least that's what my tracker tells me.

    Even for the week.

Al - you had quite a run. Time to make a correction and start a new streak. Don’t let WW have any more of your money.

You know ancient Chinese curse “May you live in interesting times”? Well, it was an interesting week. My official weigh-in Thursday evening was in the Red zone, and my fourteen day average is in the Yellow.

What have I learned (or need to remind myself ) as a result of my choices this week?

    - [ ] Having the knowledge and tools is meaningless if I don’t effectively apply the tools.
    - [ ] Having a good plan isn’t helpful if i don’t follow the plan. (I was in Yellow, but ate like I was in Green.)
    - [ ] The laws of physics and thermodynamics aren’t suspended because I have the munchies. Eat more than I burn; gain weight. Action = reaction.
    - [ ] This plan works if it’s a priority for me. It wasn’t a priority.
    - [ ] When I know I’m in too deep, stop digging the hole deeper.

    Duh. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The good news? I have a plan I know works, and I have the tools to implement it. It needs to be a priority for me.

Side note to Tim @Flintwinch - as you can see, knowledge and experience are of little use unless actually applied to choices. 🤷🏻‍♂️
