Still at our son’s. Road still flooded and our septic system is still under water.
I'm sorry. I hope that clears up for you all soon.

I'm sorry for your sudden loss. I know it won't be easy to be there and support their family and yours while you're grieving, too. Please take care of yourself during this difficult time.

Good morning Shape Shifters. My plan to go for a short walk failed again. I considered it, but at the halfway point it felt like I had barely started, so I added more little forest trails and ended up with a 96 minute walk. The sun showed up a tiny bit, but no pretty mushrooms this time. I did a lot of laundry; washed my clothes, Tinus' blankets and my bed sheets. I also switched out my duvet to a thicker one. It has been pretty warm here at night, but the temperatures are finally dropping this weekend so I thought it would be better to go from the 200gr to the 300gr one. Still not super thick, but I prefer layers so I can throw stuff on and off since I am a very warm sleeper. I also did some cleaning.
I noticed my Fitbit screen was looking pretty dark (can't read it anymore outside) and there are tiny black streaks over the numbers. I looked online for a new fitness tracker since I enjoy tracking steps/sleep/heartrate etc. so much. Most of them are way too big and way too expensive. I briefly looked at the inspire 3, but eventually decided to go with a cheap Huawei Band 8. I think that one will work well enough for what I want. I should get it Monday or Tuesday so hopefully my Fitbit will be fine for a couple more days. So far it looks like it is just the screen being a bit weird. Happy Sunday everyone5 -

It's 1 am and I just got home -- What a day! I walked ~2.5 miles this morning before swimming for a half hour then one hour of water aerobics. Then I took a two hour drive to Berkeley where I took a 3¼ mile hike at Inspiration Point in Tilden Regional Park. Then I had half a calzone for dinner prior to going to the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse to see the Celtic music group Wake the Dead. It was a great concert!
I'm glad I've got an extra hour for the remainder of the night, cause I need it!

I tried to run a little on the treadmill last night, but I'm hurting a bit more this morning, so I think my hip isn't ready for it yet. I also used the exercise bike for 20 minutes, as well as walking.
I'm debating on if I want to do the step challenge in November. I find myself hyper focused on it, and it takes away from other exercises I could be doing. I want to start swimming as well as the indoor bike, especially while my hip is on hiatus, but am finding it hard to pullyself away from getting steps. I'll think on it and decide if I can do it with a more balanced approach.5 -
