The long football weekend kicks off Thursday with 49ers at Seahawks plus three college games, and ends with the Bills at Jets on Monday night.  There are plenty of college and NFL games in between.  What do you expect from your favorite team(s) or player(s)?
How did they do this weekend?  What about those teams you love to hate?  This thread is here for all your football talk.

I’m thinking it’s a little early to see Drake Maye. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hope he physically lasts the season.

Now that the Jets have fired their head coach, I don't know what to expect! And news reports I see make it sound like Aron Rodgers is quite the Diva. Can you say disfunctional team?

Note sure if you’re a Jets fan, but I’ve not been a fan of Aaron Rodgers for some time. He’s a gifted athlete and a flawed human being. His “I’ve been immunized” ploy during COVID still rankles as dishonest and irresponsible. Also, I found it somewhere between amusing and hypocritical that he called out the Jets organization last year for “all the outside drama” while he was on IR - but still doing weekly appearances on Pat McAfee. Um, Aaron . . . . ?

My Charlotte 49ers are at 5-0 Navy Saturday. I am not smelling an upset.

I am a Jets fan, but not a Rodgers fan! I was against having the Jets sign him when they did, (too long a contract for a late 30's QB) and I always thought he was a bit of a drama queen!

Good news and bad news. The good news is Charlotte did not lose to Navy today. The bad news is that the game actually isn't until next Saturday.

Well, the Drake Maybe Experience opened today. He walked off the field under his own power at the conclusion of the game, which I consider a success. That should tell you something about my expectations - not for home, but for his protection.

It seems the Patriots drafted a gifted rookie quarterback, and that’s exactly what they got. He showed a big arm, some good mobility, and made more good decisions than I expected. As a rookie, he lacked pocket awareness, and some of the issues he had come from that. On the plus side, starting against a tough pressure defense, I suspect he’ll just get better from here. I am moderately encouraged. 👍🏻

Certainly not expecting double-digit wins this year, but three to five total wins are possible. Now if the rookie coaching staff can clean up the penalties, and if someone can show Ja'Lynn Polk how to catch a football . . .

The Cowboys embarrassed themselves today. There is nothing from that game worth mentioning, so I won't.

That was a surprise to me. I figured the total amount of points scored was about right, but I thought more of them would come from the Cowboys.
