Kind of staying in the same range, which I guess is okay. My weight has fluctuated from 128.2 to 130.2 this week. Today, I'm more concerned about weight loss with one of our kitties. Our little Teddy is losing weight although he is eating well. He does not seem to feel sick, but the vet told us a month ago that if he continues to lose weight, we have to find out why. (At one point, we cut back on food for both kitties because they were gaining, but he has lost too much.) He seems to feel okay, but cats are known for not letting it be known when they're not well. As you know, our kitties are like children to us, so I'm really worried. I think I can deal with my diagnosis easier than having something go wrong with him.
And as far as my health is concerned, I'm still waiting to hear from the two docs I have to see before I can get on to treatment, i.e., the medical oncologist and the radiologist. I thought I'd see them last Friday, but that appointment was only with the surgeon. She said that if I do not hear from them by tomorrow, I should let her office know so they can contact them. How hard it is to get medical appointments here is just crazy. I think I mentioned that I asked the surgeon about this and she said it's mostly due to lack of staffing. Apparently a lot of medical technicians, admin staff, etc. that provide the services that doctors do not provide and that keep medical offices running left their professions during covid. The breast center is running about half staffed. Because of this shortage, medical staff of all types are being offered very large salaries here. The daughter of one of my friends decided to move a bit outside her field of sports PT and is in a sonographer training position at a hospital now. My friend said the salary and benefits her daughter was offered is pretty amazing.
But one good thing has happened. I think I told you that hubby was called for Federal jury duty, which he was dreading because those trials can last for weeks if not months, and it would entail a really stressful drive on the Capital Beltway. Well, his number was not among those included for voir dire for last week, and as of yesterday, he has been excused for the duration. He is so relieved. He was worried about sitting so long with his neck and back pain and don't even mention the periodic IBS.
Kelly, I hope your absense on the board is because you've been traveling and enjoying that wonderful birthday gift.
Sheesh, I'm glad you had a good time on your golfing trip and with Seattle daughter and grands. I also hope that you get good news from the colonoscopy and endoscopy. Darn, that wasa lot to endure in one day.
Lois, hope the toe continues to get better so you can get back to activities you enjoy. You have that lovely late fall and winter weather coming round the bend.
I have been trying to stay busy. I've made more cookies in the past two weeks than I'd normally make in six months. And unfortunately, I have eaten quite a few of them and sugar is one thing I need to watch. But making cookies and also making a huge batch of homemade vegetable beef soup has kept my mind and hands occupied. My friend with the lung issues was released from the hospital Saturday evening. When I asked if there was anything I could do for her, she said, "You know that wonderful vegetable beef soup you make . . .?" So hubby and I took some up to her yesterday and visited for a bit. She still does not have a diagnosis other than some type of infection. I hate to say this, but she smoked heavily for many years, and although she does not do that any longer, I think perhaps some damage was done that has made her suseptible to infections and this may be a form of chronic bronchitis.
But back to happier news, yesterday, for the first time since my surgery, I was able to do the entire Bone Builders routine. And although I used lighter weights for the arm exercises, I did use weights. So I feel good about that. And like I said, I ate way too much sugar this past week, but I did get my steps and burn up thanks to some nice outside walking weather and doing a little treadmill work while watching the World Series. Here are my 7-day averages.
Steps = 11,091
Kcals burned = 1,764
Looking forward to hearing from everyone, and I'll leave you with this:

Quick post...
Life has been busy. I think I've mentioned before that I typically post on Wednesdays because I usually work from home those days and am on my laptop, but the last few Wednesdays I've been at the office, so it's been more difficult to post. And here I am at the office.
The NFL trip is this weekend. Unfortunately, the NFL can flex (move) games based on how popular a team is due to ratings and that's exactly what they did for our game. They moved our game to a 7pm start, which means we can't go to the NHL game anymore cause it starts at 5pm and there's no way we would make it in time. Of course that's our luck. So, we'll try sell the NHL tickets, but it's not likely so we'll be out the $250
I've been battling a little cold, so I'm focusing on getting rid of that before the weekend. Took a sick day yesterday and slept almost all day, plus all night. Obviously I needed it. I hadn't been sleeping well for the past while, so it's not surprising I got sick.
We had my Brother's 40th birthday surprise supper and then I met up with him, his wife and my parents for a brunch one day.
Kids have still been a handful... as normal. Taxi driver is our 2nd job... without pay though of course.
Can't remember if I told you that Ella got her surgery date of December 9... and then it's 9-12 months of recovery. Poor kid.
K that's my quick update. I'll try check back this week and read everyone's posts. We're headed to the States on Saturday early.0
