Chris I need cardio and my stretching again. Thanks for these.
Shelley0 -
Chris you would seriously think about moving if Sara did. But that would mean leaving Nicks niche behind. Hard choice. And I know you will miss your trainer. As she will you. I take it she has no other family to keep her here?
I have a son here still. And moving is not an option. I have family and friends here. And what if she moves again? I have no idea what her grown children will do. Her daughter graduated last year and is still living at home and working. Not enough for her own place with prices the way they are.
Thanks. I hope it does well. I heard they can get 5 inches or more. This one is 2 1/2 inches I believe. Well back to work tomorrow.

I need to get serious about my health again. Too much junk not enough exercise. I let grief and depression overtake my life. It’s time to retake control.

Paula you nailed it. Too much good food!
Kathy when my brother passed away I started smoking again. Quitting was soooo hard. I worked out tonight and thought of you.
I had a busy day at work today. Still went to the gym. I was so dragging. Arrested 3 people out of court today. DUI's are a thing.

Too much good food on this end too ladies.....
I find evercising so hard this time of year. It's been FREEZING here in PA...makes me want to be warm and not sweat lol.
Jim got surgery on his arm the day before Thanksgiving....so been taking care of him. It's not easy having your dominant arm in a sling. Also not easy to wrestle a 25lb turkey in and out of the oven lol. Praying his nerve isn't damaged and he can use his fingers again!

Kathy, I know what you are saying. I felt the same way with Nick. Hard but you will do it.
Shelley, Glad I stopped drinking. Glad...well, NOT...Okay, Yeah, that I quit smoking THREE times. The last time was for Nick's birthday...he said he wished I didn't smoke any more. For his b'day I get him and Sara my last two cigarettes and had them crush them into the trash can...that was it.
Karen, Oh, my gosh! What happened to Jim's arm? I hope he heals up and can use his fingers again. Man!
Yeppy, yep! Too much food. Need more walking. Trainer is back but she got sick and so did we. Ronan is home from school today and Collin is a Runny Nose Kid! Pat doesn't feel good, and I'm in a contest with Collin!
We have Collin today but not Ronan. I need to take some stuff to Good Will and then to UPS. Maybe I can get my Sweet Husband to take me. We'll see.
Chris1 -
Tuesday: Full body stretch and 60 minutes on recumbent. Slowly but surely. Also going to rejoin the gym.
Kathy1 -
So everybody is sick around here. Sara's home with both boys. Don't know what SIL is up to. Pat is coughing. I am tired and have a headache. No workout today and no walking and no Good Will.
Shared some of our soup with the new neighbors across the street today. They shared mac and cheese the husband does on the bbq with us earlier in the week. They are really nice. They have a brand new baby girl and a four year old girl, too. Hands full!! I got Christmas Bears from Raley's yesterday. They only had one kind this year. It's name is Peppermint!! I took two of them over with the soup.
Well, I'm going to read and eat popcorn now.

Chris so sorry you are all sick. And happy you have nice neighbors. And yes quitting smoking was awful hard. Glad you were able to quit for all the right reasons. It helps when you're doing it for those you love.
Karen at sounds awful. Tell him to heal quickly. What a big turkey.
Kathy baby steps. My gym is offering a free tee for going to the gum 15 times from now through the end of December.
Went to the gym again tonight. Then DND. It was cold at their home tonight. My feet are like ice.

If my trainer moves to Tennessee, I guess I'll re-join the gym down the street...sigh... That's where Sara and I found her in the first place, so maybe I'll get lucky again. It's not suppose to happen for about two years and things can change.
We had Collin this morning. He was a little stuffy. Sara went into work. She still feels yucky...migraine hangover. Ronan has a gravelly voice and a cough. Pat has a gravely voice and a "Man Attitude" about everything. SIL seemed fine this morning. I am okay. I should put my shoes on and go out there.
Okay, gotta go. My shoes are making a fuss up on the counter.
Chris1 -
I only 30 minutes on recumbent. I seem to have caught a bug as well. Sniffles, sore throat, little fever and awful sneezes.
Feel better everyone.
Kathy1 -
Collin and I went out just about the time the Raley's order was delivered so we helped the driver bring in the Christmas Bears I ordered. It was pretty cute!! Then we went across the street to see Andre's Christmas yard set up and then started down the block and Collin was asleep within the first 10 mins. I walked about 10 mins more to make sure he was deep into his dreams before I was home. I watched him until I left for my trainer then Pat watched him for another hour. SIL was loading him up when I got home from my workout. Good nap Collin!!
So a 60 min workout w/my trainer and now to enjoy the rest of the day...
Chris1 -
Chris hope everyone continues to get better. And so happy the little one got a much needed nap. wink wink. Great trainer's are hard to find. But you did it once.
Kathy get better my friend.
I am sore from my workout on Wednesday. So I only did upper body tonight. Christmas party tomorrow night.
Shelley0 -
Kathy, everyone in this town is sick!! ugh! Get better, my friend.
Shelley, I'm sore from my workout yesterday, too. A lot of back and shoulders...
Nothing today...so far. Not feeling all together in my brain. We have Bean for the day and maybe tonight, too.
I'm just going to read, drink coffee, eat pop corn and continue to check the weather.
Chris1 -
Hope everyone is feeling better soon.
Went to a tree lighting ceremony in our little community tonight. About 50 people (lots of kids) showed up. We had a countdown, the local fire chief flipped the switch, and nothing happened. Everybody broke out laughing because it was funny and didn't spoil the camaraderie and singing of songs.
Then, when the fire chief got a generator from the station; it was even happier when the lights came on. It felt so appropriate because as a community, we do rally together to overcome adversity and help each other. It defines us.
My weight is still teetering. An adversity to overcome.
Paula1 -
Paula I have never gone to a tree lighting ceremony. Very hopeful that there were lots of young folks at it. Sounds so fun.
Chris hope you all get well soon. I should have had some popcorn. Hope you snuggled with Bean.
The party was a success. Lots of friends and family. I went to a craft fair at our mall. I bought some strawberry banana jam. Sounded good.
Shelley0 -
Paula, Thanks! I am better. Yesterday was just a weird fog. I didn't get sick like everyone else. Pat still has a cough a rough voice.
Shelley, was the jam good? Sounds good.
I got to go to the post office today. Maybe yesterday was because I didn't have a destination...maybe.
I got 5.42 miles done in 107 mins. It was really nice out there! Sunshine and clouds and a breeze...nice. I got to see a parade from one of the churches in town. Several folks riding horses, a couple of bands, dancers, floats!! I took pictures, but I don't know how they turned out yet. Pat can help me with some of his magic. I got to see it walking to the post office and then again as they were coming back to the church and I was on my way home. Pretty cool!
Well, we are waiting for SIL to p/u Bean so we can get our chores done...sigh. I'm alright.
Later, my friends.
Chris0 -
Chris that had to have been one of your best walks ever. So much happening. We saw a parade from the room we were in for our Christmas party. Lightning was not the best though.
Today I worked on clearing up a pile of mail. Darn mail multiplies. Took the dogs for a walk. Rocky is on a diet. I hope he sticks with it. It makes me behave at night. Snacked on raspberries tonight.
Shelley0 -
Yeah, it was cool, Shelley. The dancers had huge headdresses and were twirling around!
We had Collin Duty this morning then I saw my trainer for an hour of good stuff!
Ronan had asked Grandpa why Grandma hadn't put up the Christmas tree. Grandpa got it our of the garage and plugged it in...it's pretty...fiber optic...lots of colors! Ronan was so surprised when he got here. He doesn't remember it from last year. After that he was telling me about the characters in his video games...I have noooo clue what he is talking about but it was fun. He sat on my lap and we talked about everything!! Then he went a did homework.
Well, that's it for now.
Chris

Uh oh. Sounds like you might want to learn about video games. At least they should be easy ones now, The excitement of the young. I never tire of it. We need to still put up our tree.
I was so surprised that the instructor didn't kill us tonight. It was doable, mostly.
I had to use my daughter's microscope to identify the stuff growing at the base of this coral. Mainly just new tank gunk. Should go away on its own. Well should, I will see.

Shelley, are the bubbles the tank gunk?...what is the blue tower-thing?
No question about it, Kathy. You can make it!!
We'll have Collin this morning then Ronan this afternoon then both boy and Bean this evening while Sara sings in the signing in of the Brentwood mayor. Her group will only be singing one song.
That's it for this morning. I just might be back...maybe.
Chris1 -
40 minute recumbent bike as well as an upper body workout.
Kathy1 -
60 min workout w/my trainer after a morning w/Collin! It was so cold and foggy here I couldn't see the houses across the street this morning. The cars all had ice on their hoods...burrrrr! Not fun. I guess I need to dig out my mittens.
Chris0 -
Kathy I know you can do it. What is a number anyway? It is a goal to be realized. You got this my friend.
Chris you have been busy. I love watching normal people sing. Just your average folks having a great time. The towering thing is a coral frag. Which means it is a small piece off a large colony. About one inch. The bubbles are trapped in a brown type of slime algae. I am tweaking the nutrient levels in hopes of it going away. So my tiny tower can grow into a softball colony. You are a great grandma. Such memories you are making.
Gym tonight for a 45 minute Tabata class. There were burpees. I know you all wish you were there.
Shelley0 -
Yesterday completed 60 minutes on recumbent also an abs workout.
Burpees…uh still no! 😂

Well, the Thanksgiving Chinese leftovers are finally gone. It was yummy but my diet is totally derailed. Earlier I thought I'd break into the onehundreds by yearend; now I just hope not to gain everything back, LOL!
Kathy, isn't it wonderful to see the scale go down? Makes me happy to see it happen for you.
Happy wishes to all,
Paula
p.s. Shell, your blue goo junk is very pretty. Do you think corals are happy? :laugh:1 -

Paula good question. Happy, hmmm. Healthy yes. I will see if it waves tomorrow. It is not really slimy. Bad photo I do love me some Chinese food. And now you can get back into Onderland.
Kathy great workout. As Paula said, wonderful to watch the scale go down.
Tonight I was feeling brave. Met my friend Carrie at the gym. Then said let's workout in one of the group fitness rooms that was vacant. She played along. Then another gal came in and asked if she could join. Sure, why not. We got weights, steppers, bars and mats out. Carrie played music and I led a 35 minute down and dirty weight class. We all sweated. I remembered enough from Body Pump classes to look like I knew what I was doing. They even thanked me!
Two dogs and our cat had their teeth cleaned. Fast $861 gone. Blood work, cleaning and 2 teeth pulled. Pain meds included.
Nite all
