Hello Shape Shifters! I moved to the support list about a month ago. Iโll rejoin the team here within the next couple of months โ probably Feb. 2nd โ because I have limited access to a consistent scale for reporting my weight.
I just wanted to stop in to encourage everyone to finish the year strong!4 -

@p8m6bwghh9 The goal zone is for people who are done losing weight. Just wanted to double check if that is what you mean. If so, please let us know the weight range you plan to maintain at. For the goal group, you still weigh in. If you want a break from weighing in, then we can move you to support.1

Hi all, hope everyone had a good Christmas ?
Mine was good but could have been better as I've still got a horrid chesty cough.I don't really like taking antibiotics but I'm thinking I may have to visit my G.P to see if I need them.
My steps are low as I haven't felt like going for walks.I've got to walk today as I'm feeding my friends cat & it's quite a distance away.Ive unfortunately not lost my appetite so I know my weight is up.So many nice things to eat & drink in the house !3 -

Please could I join January's Step Challenge at 12,000 steps. My fave place to walk in the winter is just around my neighbourhood & weather permitting my local park.5 -

@PatriceFitnessPal ๐โโ๏ธHi! Thanks for stopping by! ๐1 -
Good morning all!
I don't have a scale this week so going to have to carry over my weight from last week. I'm sure that it's higher but who knows how much. ๐คทโโ๏ธ

I have my steps on a post-it somewhere, will post them in a bit.
I hope everyone has had a great week. I survived 3 days with a 2 yo and a 6. It got a bit wild at times but it was fun. I'm going to brave the after Christmas sales today so that should be fun as well.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

I managed to get rid of a bit of bloat from last week's weigh in. Overall, I'm down 0.7 lbs for the month. Not a huge loss, but at least it's a loss. I'm going to have to get serious again and come up with a game plan for January.6 -

I've been fighting a pretty awful sickness (COVID, maybe?) for the last week-ish. I've tried to get out for a walk each day to get some fresh air, for me and my boys, but it's been rough. I think we're finally starting to get better. Getting my steps in has not been a top priority.4 -

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to those who celebrate. After last week's high weigh-in, I started tracking my nutrition again and cutting out sweets. My weight bounced down to 215.6 after a few days but then we went to a bunch of Christmas parties and I ate way too much and my weight is not shockingly back up. I was able to sneak in a work those days, so that felt good. I need to figure out what exercise I want to get in today and this weekend. The outdoor rinks are open and we have snow, so maybe some hockey or cross country skiing.
I'm sorry to hear some of you have been sick. I hope you are feeling better soon!

I'm really pleased with my progress this month. Today I'm working on cleaning up the kitchen and, if it doesn't rain too badly, getting a long walk with the dogs in. I'm also going to clean up my studio space, since it looks like a bomb went off in there lol
We're still working on leftovers, but I need to make up some more proteins (either beans or seitan--haven't decided which) and make up some potatoes. I also think I might also try roasting some romaine lettuce, since I'm getting bored of plain but still have about half a pack to go through.5 -

almost forgot it was friday! had a fantastic holiday week, ate copious amounts of holiday treats for 1 week then told myself to reign it in yesterday. tracking food again today. weight hasn't done a whole lot over the past month or so... these last 10 lbs are virtually impossible to budge!
to add to the garmin discussion, i have the fenix 6S and i love it! granted it's probably overkill for what I do and tbh I bought this specific one because of looks. smaller watch face, white band and rose gold bezel, how could i resist? i only wear it during activities as i don't wear watches day to day or while i sleep. but i take it swimming, running, hiking, snowshoeing, strength training, biking. one of my fav features is the VO2 max tracker, after many years i am finally in the green! oh and you can customize the watch face with photos, so of course i have my cats as my watch face. i've also used the dynamic running plans for 5k, 10k and half marathon.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas. It was a bitter sweet one here. First one without my mom and she loved Christmas. But we spent the day with family so it was good. I really wasn't as lazy as my watch says, my new garmin is definetly not as generous as my fitbit with steps, BUT the battery is unreal. It was 83% when I got it, now it's 9 days later and it's at 23%, I have not yet charged it. But I'll have to work harder to get my steps now3

@p8m6bwghh9 That is awesome, congrats! I hope you will be succesful with maintaining, which I think is harder than losing weight.2

@angmarie28 The holidays can be hard, this was the first Christmas without my MIL also, my FIL is still having a hard time. Her birthday was New Year's Day also so that will be quiet this year.
So you got a new Garmin!? I'm getting one also and I'm excited. I can't wait to participate in some of the challenges that @frankwbrown is always talking about! Maybe we can do a Shape Shifters challenge. We used to do a lot of Fitbit MFP challenges before they dropped that feature. ๐ก Some of us switched to Stridekick for challenges but there isn't the participation that we had with Fitbit.
Well, driving back to Maryland today so there'll be limited steps for me. Have a great day everyone!!4 -

I'm feeling good enough to do my full walks that I usually do again, so that's nice. Still have a cough and some chest crud going on, so gym is out for a while longer. I feel like we've been sick forever, even though it's only been about a week. Ugh.5 -
