@Cornanda I actually didn't think of the Swedish dish cloths going in the wash I'm glad you asked! I've been throwing them away when they're gross. I use it like a dish sponge too, I put it in between the sinks hanging to dry. They don't get all stinky like sponges which is awesome plus when I wash down my counters it doesn't leave a film (I follow with granite cleaner but a sponge seemed to just smear dirt around).

@trooworld Interesting I hadn't thought of having a wipe down dishcloth and a dish one but that makes sense. With the woman last night she'd been a homeowner and married so the landlord reference wasn't applicable. We're working on the background check but in CA you need the signature of the person so I need to get that to her. I'm glad your knee is healing thank goodness! Wow one week away, you got this!

@TeresaW2024 Thanks! I had a night like that too my room was super light so I got up and it was only 1AM, I hate that! I hope Joe's hair comes out nice.

Hi friends! Busy morning I went to Trader Joe's for gifts/stocking stuffers and the grocery store (I bought 2 bags of 3lbs of mandarins not realizing I got them at the first store) and had two phone appointments. I'd offered to go to work for a bit in the afternoon but haven't heard anything. My neighbor invited me over for dinner so I'm on here a little early. For my friends from the charity I got amaryllis bulbs at Trader Joe's, it cheered me up last year to have it bloom in the house in January so I love the idea of them cheering everyone up in a month. I talked to a woman in Trader Joe's who wondered what they were and she ended up copying those and all my stocking stuffers (she was fun but it was funny when her cart matched mine). My old friend's (been friends for over 40 years) gift came, she turned 60 last week and I'd ordered a mug with 1964 facts and it was late. She was saying how she likes keeping her age a secret from people on her birthday so now I'm not very excited to give her the mug, it has fun details like top movies and songs in 64 but if she doesn't want people to know her age she'll have to use it at home. I think I told you all how my brother got an electric blanket from his MIL and is trying to rig it into a grounding blanket which I just got him and my SIL for Christmas and it was delivered right before he came over and talked about the stupid electric blanket and his brilliant solution. A friend told me it's a fire hazard so I'm still giving the mats and Earthing book but boy it feels like all my great ideas are a bust this year. Have a great Friday night and Sat!

I'm having some mental health stuff going on. Add to that holiday craziness, and taking care of stuff for my mom, and I'm a little short on time. I will be posting weigh-ins but may be absent from the conversation until after Christmas.

I had a couple of pretty good days. I did a short, little (11 min) workout yesterday, it was supposed to be a low impact workout, but 10 min into it, my feet were hurting very bad. Today, I did a 30 min low impact workout, lol... even though it was "low impact" I did some high impact sweating. 🥵 So, that makes 2 days in a row.

I have managed to work some veggies in my day the couple of days.

I'm trying to get back on the right track...

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: If we met you in person today for the first time, what would be the most impressive thing about you? Why are you impressive? We ALL are, so let's own it! If you're not sure, ask a loved one. My own impressive quality is that I'm intense. I get things done, but I can be a bulldozer.

@TeresaW2024 Thanks. Yes, up to this next Friday! It's not been bad, honesty. :) I hate when I wake up early like that! Did you go to bed early last night?

@Katmary71 Sometimes I use the same one but I do try to keep separate tasks, separate cloths. Oh, I see, well I hope you can get her signature, it's good you know the law! It's not much better, I still had to use my cane yesterday and was in some amount of pain, but yes, it is a bit better, thanks! It sounds like you got thoughtful gifts for people. I'm sure your 1964 friend will love the mug, even if she uses it at home. I think you put a lot of thought into your gifts, I'm sorry you feel that way about them.

    @DrewsAnna You got this.

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: If we met you in person today for the first time, what would be the most impressive thing about you? Well, if we just met and you were basing it on looks, you would say the color of my hair stands out: I started dyeing my grays in the front of my hair purple but now they are an electric blue. If it is something other than appearance, I would say my creativity and craftiness. I can pretty much make anything I desire and I do make gifts for people.

Hi all. The liquid diet was a little bit harder at home yesterday: at work, I bring a set amount of certain things and to eat anything else requires an effort, but at home, there are all sorts of things to eat. I didn't though, I stuck to the diet. In fact, I didn't eat enough: at about 11 pm, I was lying in bed, hunger gnawing at me. I thought about getting up and getting some broth or something but I didn't, I was too comfortable. As of yesterday, I lost 3 lbs since starting the diet on Tuesday. We went out to get some Christmas presents after work and a coffee. I got just a plain coffee with a little oat milk and some Splenda and it was good. I put up a small tree that my MIL lent us...it's really more of a Christmas shrub lol, it's about 3 feet tall and skinny, but it's pretty. I'll put more decorations up, probably today. Today, we are celebrating Christmas with my in-laws. There will be food and beverages which I cannot have. I will probably pick up some Tom Yum soup broth from the Thai restaurant and bring that over along with a protein shake. I feel fine about this. We'll watch a movie and I'll concentrate on that.

@Katmary71 I love the idea of getting people amaryllis bulbs! I got one a few years ago at a Christmas party and loved it. Heck, I need to go to TJ and buy myself one, at least! :D Your friend will love the 1964 mug. I just watched one of my favorite influencers talk about grounding mats and ground sheets. It's fascinating stuff that I know very little about but would like to learn more. :)

@morenin I pray that you will find peace and let the craziness go as much as possible. A New Year is coming, so focus on that and be determined to make it a great year. :)

@DrewsAnna, great job getting in those workouts! :)

@trooworld We went to bed at our usual time and I slept like a rock! :) You are doing great sticking to the liquid diet. I love it when I’m in bed at night and feel super hungry. I mentality embrace it and tell my fat to shut up and go snack on what is already available.:D You will feel so proud that you had a great family Christmas and focused on the people, not the food. :) The tree is super cute!!

Good morning! I slept great, and I am ready to tackle the day! Not that I have anything to tackle! :D Yesterday, I cut Joe’s hair, steamed my clothes, and wrapped the two gifts for my girlfriends. For my bestie, I bought her a hunting sweatshirt off of Etsy. It has pictures of camo bows, a deer stand, a rifle, and of course, a deer. It’s so funny that my best friend lives for deer season and loves sitting alone in a deer stand for hours.I would rather stab myself in the eye! She is a total weirdo and will love the shirt! :) Gotta go wake up Joe and get a workout done. Have a great day! :)

Thank you all for the info on swedish dish cloths. I was not sure if they would scratch.

All you early risers, I woke up at 4:40 am today. Just tried to take a little nap and am now having my third cup of coffee. Lots of Christmas things to do today.

@morenin Hugs to you I'm sorry to hear you're struggling (this time of year is hard too). We understand if you're not too talkative.

@DrewsAnna Great job on the workout! That stinks on the feet pain though I'm impressed you went up to a 30 minute one. What kind are you doing? I've been doing a challenge with some friends but don't like that the instructor does a lot of full body workouts when I do upper/lower workouts so I've been switching to Leslie Sansone ones. First time doing walking videos in awhile but I'm enjoying it. Way to go on veggies too keep up the great work!

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: Hm not really sure I get a lot of “sweet” and “kind” or “positive” comments. A new farm volunteer kept saying how friendly I was when we worked together so boring stuff like that. When I share some of my story it's the positive or resilient or strong type comments. Based on appearance I get jewelry questions or comments.

@trooworld Thank you! Shoot I'm sorry to hear about your knee I bet that's making you even more determined on surgery which is helpful right now with any doubts you may be having. Woohoo on 3lbs down that's awesome! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas celebration sending strength your way to get through it, you got this! The broth sounds yummy I'm glad you found a way to still treat yourself. Love your shrub!

@TeresaW2024 Thanks! I loved my amaryllis last year, one shoot came up and flowered then when it was all spent the next started so I had a flower for 2 months. Just wait until I share the latest with the grounding mats grrrr. Your gifts sound so thoughtful I love it! Check out Cliff Ober, he's in a few documentaries on earthing or grounding and I got his company's mats for my brother plus his book.

@bethanie0825 You rocked that party wtg!

Hey gang! Jessica can't run the big group challenge this week so any extra support and players would be very welcome, I'll be there for this one.

My SIL started sending me full-body mat links she's thinking of getting my brother. I told her what I bought them and already wrapped and she still thinks he needs a full-body red light therapy mat because my nephew's running coach says "red light therapy is the only thing that helps neuropathy." My brother and SIL don't believe you can have cured back pain and neuropathy in a foot from the back so it HAS to be full body (that logic would say you need a shoe red light not a full body but whatever, I did tell her to follow the spinal nerves at L4-S1 as I had foot numbness for years without back pain). I'll admit to being super grumpy and I just deleted a huge paragraph! One of the mats was encrusted with amethysts and my brother doesn't think Chinese medicine makes sense nevermind gemstone frequency healing, I was trying to ease him into functional medicine via a paid appointment with a machine that made him feel better he hasn't used with the practitioner I see and the grounding mats but sure who cares if he gets $1000 in numerous full body mats for Christmas.

    Have a great Sunday!

Tiesta tea- tried Sexy Hot X-Mas which is cocoa chili black tea, I really like it but "natural flavors" is a little disappointing I wish it just said what was added as it mentioned soy and sugar in the chocolate and Id rather know everything. I bought a holiday sampler and saw a few large sizes I'm considering. It's strong enough that I'm making another cup and didn't need to add much. Curious on calories with the chocolate too but not super worried.

@TeresaW2024 Oh good, I'm glad you got some good sleep! I am doing surprisingly well on this liquid diet. LOL about your discussion with your fat! :) Thank you, it went pretty well. I think the tree is cute, too! :D I'm glad you found the perfect gift for your BFF. Sounds like she will love it!

@Cornanda I don't think they will scratch once they are wet. They are pretty soft. Maybe test it out on an inconspicuous place. I get up at 4 every morning and sometimes on the weekends, I take a nap by 9 am! :) I hope you got stuff done.

@Katmary71 It is totally making me more determined. Thank you! I hope the gift for your brother works out. The Sexy Hot X-Mas tea sounds interesting!

    @19Shmoo69 Congrats on the loss!

@baodell17724 Sorry about that. I hope today is better!

Hi all. The Christmas celebration went ok, I got the broth and drank that and we watched a movie. It wasn't too hard except when we first got there: when I told my SIL I couldn't have any wine, she said, "You can't have wine???" and I almost gave in and had a glass but I didn't. We exchanged presents and my thoughtful but unknowing SIL gave me a bottle of wine and some fancy chocolates (and some other stuff). I gave the chocolates to my husband and I will keep the wine for when I can have it. I ended up in the bathroom from the broth: my body was not used to all the spices and flavors since I've been on bland liquids for 5 days now. Lesson learned. Today, I am making pretzel turtle bites for my coworkers. Not the best thing to make for them when I've been on a liquid diet but it's easy and they will like it. I also have a lot of stuff to do to prep for my surgery.

@Katmary71 I can feel your annoyance with your SIL. :D It can be hard to educate people who already think they know what is the right way to do something. I sure hope your brother enjoys all his mats. :) I looked at the products on the Cliff Ober site. Very interesting! I spend so much time at my desk or table working on a puzzle that it would be cool if I could get an under-desk footrest!

@trooworld I’m glad your family's Christmas celebration went well, especially with the wine offered. You have more willpower than I do to make pretzel turtle bites and not be able to eat any. Wayyy to go, and what a great challenge for yourself. :)

Good morning! I’ve been thinking a lot about my weight and what to do about it. Clearly, I can’t keep ignoring it! :D So, when we begin the New Year, I will return to weighing in here for accountability. For my diet, I will keep it simple and do IF for at least 16 to 20 hrs most days while eating primarily whole foods. Sounds doable, doesn’t it? We shall see! ;)

ICE BREAKER QUESTION: If we met you in person today for the first time, what would be the most impressive thing about you?

I have been debating whether or not to answer this as it could be perceived as negative.

If we were to meet each other today for the first time I would have to say nothing impressive would be noticed. I am quiet. While I can be chatty I am not chatty during introductions. I’m borderline awkward. I can say hi and introduce myself but then I’m clueless. On a side note this is why I’m terrible at interviews.

@baodell17724 You have the right idea brush yourself off and get back to it!

@19shmoo69 Love your answer I'm awkward too and can seem normal but I'm nervous enough not to remember people's names (memory sucks from medications). I'm glad you answered when I saw your weigh in posted alone I was thinking how I missed you chatting more here and was going to send you a message. Glad you decided to share with us.

@trooworld Thank you! Glad to hear you're doing well on the diet aside of the broth yesterday. I had to laugh at the gifts even though I know you're a little annoyed, I deal with that with my family and being allergic to artificial fragrance is completely ignored along with candy. That wine will be nice in the future. I struggle with the social stuff just like what you said with the wine where you don't want to be a pain or seem ungrateful, you did great!

@TeresaW2024 I decided while I was shopping and thinking of boycotting Christmas Eve that I'll be a good sport for my nephews but I'm a grinch inside this year. The earthing mats that are full body they show on a bed on his website (like a single size) his and hers were on sale on Amazon in a two pack, I was so excited when that dropped the early Black Friday and ordered it right away! I bought the book he wrote too but haven't wrapped it yet as I'd like to read it. I watched a bunch of different YouTube videos and there's documentaries on YouTube as well. I don't think it's a cure for every ailment but if it helps you feel more in touch and centered that's a plus. Yes your eating plan definitely sounds doable you've done it before and you will do it again! A funny tidbit around Thanksgiving there was an article that said RFK was causing chaos frying a turkey in beef tallow while barefoot in his yard. My brother listens to Adam Corolla and a few others who tout keto then knows about grounding so I sent it to him and we had a good laugh at RFK grounding and avoiding seed oils while frying his turkey causing “chaos”.

@sleepygirl79 Yay that's a great weigh in after a binge, wtg!

@DrewsAnna Yikes sorry to hear you not feeling good after Wendy's, it's weird how we know we probably won't feel well but still want it. Hope you get some time to enjoy the sun.

@vegan4lyfe2012 @morenin @sleepygirl79 Way to go team leaders!

Hi friends! Got my stocking stuffer shopping done and finished another cookie batch. I'm only working for a couple hours in the afternoon tomorrow so I should be able to get everything else finished (stamps and a couple small things). I'd gone to World Market and was there for a few hours and was getting dizzy so I got caramel popcorn for the ride home and Werther's caramel popcorn tastes amazing but my stomach did NOT like it. Not the healthiest day after that I had some split pea soup with a chunk of bread and a couple of the cookies I made and am having my vitamin drink now. I'm trying to maintain for now but @TeresaW2024 and @trooworld are inspiring me to start logging my weigh ins next month too. Have a great Monday friends!

It's really too bad when gift giving and receiving gets annoying- everything is supposed to be joyful at this time of year, but we are humans, so that can't always be true.

@trooworld- I'm glad your family thing went mostly well, except for the bathroom part.... :) You are doing a great job on your diet. Good luck with the surgery prepping.

@Katmary71 - I hope things turn out well with the mat in the long run and that your nephews make Christmas Eve enjoyable.

@baodell17724- I'm bad at math, but it looks like you've already lost 50ish pounds, so this is just a detour. You've been doing it and you can keep doing it!
