Hi--I joined MFP at a friend's suggestion, as I picked up my first-ever Zepbound prescription this afternoon. Will take first dose tonight, 2.5mg. Am nervous about side effects but have been reading up on keeping water/liquid going as well as protein to counteract them. Anyone have tips for how to start and limit/stave off the nausea, etc.? Too: Any sites with meal ideas you can recommend? As I find them, I'll be sure to share links here. Indeed, it's a journey--and it's always good to have others alongside you as you start putting one foot in front of the other. Thanks much to all who got this group started and for all the inspiration you've given me already, just by reading your posts.

@shicas I too, I was very worried about side effects. I’ve been fairly lucky so far. I started October 23 on Zepbound. Constipation is my only main complaint and I’m dealing with it by making sure I drink lots of water, get a lot of fiber in my diet, Benefiber every day in my coffee and occasionally add a scoop of Miralax too.
My brother had a lot of nausea in the beginning. He’s been on Ozempic for many months now. Keeping a food diary helped him figure out which foods triggered the nausea and he made adjustments to his diet.
Be sure to check out MFP’s GLP-1 Nutrition Plan (Plan choices can found on the “Plan” tab on the bottom of the main page.) there are several nutritional plans as well such as a protein plan and one about macros and micros and more. I have found some good suggestions there.
I’m hoping this group grows because I think we can learn a lot from each other!

Hi! Yes, I recently found this discussion as well. I started compound semaglutide mid September. I did pretty well the first month with minor side effects. It hasn’t helped my food noise yet, but I got full really fast and felt the need to eat very slowly. I titrated up my 2nd month and it was horrible. I had too much wine one night and paid for it for a week. Vomiting, stomach pain, then bad heartburn. I missed 3 days of work. I ended up going down to half my starting dose and plan to go slower this time. I have lost 16 pounds so far. I’ve been eating a lot more this week so it’ll probably be a gain but no where near how I would have eaten before the meds.
